well I guess since the only books I've read and saw the movies for were The Other Boleyn Girl and the Harry Potter series I'm not exactly an authority ;)

The Other Boleyn Girl pisses me off both film and book, yes its fiction but it's based on real people and gulliable people think it's real history which it most certainly isn't. Still, no worse than Mel Gibson films, I suppose.;)

it's HORRIDLY inaccurate! I'm a huge Tudor history buff and I enjoyed the book from an entertainment perspective.....but I hate people who walk around like some sort of authority because Philipa Gregory told them...she's the WORST when it comes to embellishing history.
Don't even get me started on The Tudors show with Jonathan Rhys Myers.....holy shit...love it..great show..entertaining...epic failure historically :thumbdown

Aaarrgghh!! Know what you mean about the Tudors. This is my big contradiction with Braveheart. I like the film as fiction but the real story is so much more interesting. It pisses me off though because of Mel Gibsons blatent racism toward the English, in that and The Patriot. Notice he convinently forgot to mention the bit about William Wallace raping nuns in a church while making up a load of shit about Prima Noctre.:humm:

I think when it comes to historical fiction, which is really what Braveheart is, that the truth is always more interesting. On a side note, I'm totally stoked to see what they're going to do in the 3rd season of The Tudors. I don't know how they'll wrap it up in the end since they've fucked up the beginning so badly but I hope they make Henry get wicked fat :thumbup:24:
