They're the ones that are into curses and all of that, correct?
I think so though I'm no expert to be honest! I know they sell alot of roses and stuff on the streets at night after the clubs shut!

I don't know how I feel about the whole grabbing thing, the few clips they shows of it happening made it look like a bit of a game - none of the girls seemed upset or worried by it, before or after it happened to them. So does that really mean it's that bad? But then perhaps they only showed the lighter willing side of it to keep the program light-hearted. It certainly sounds like it has the potential for abuse as a traditional practice.
The girls they interviewed dont like it but accept it the same way they accept being used as a punching bag and a slave by their husbands. It's deeply ingrained into them that they are simply on earth to do what their men tell them and if they get hit its their own fault. They interviewed some gypsy boys in the series about grabbing and they were casually talking and laughing about punching girls during their grabbing ritual.
pikeys get hate because they break the law, have no respect for anyone else and are generally offensive
I don't see how the parents can accept some boy grabbing at their daughter like that. I pity the guy who tries that stunt with any daughter of mine.
I haven't seen last nights one yet but I saw the previews. It did make it look like they're very much trying to show gypsies as law abiding citizens who have been unlucky to get on the wrong side of people who look down on them. It'd be far more interesting if they confronted them about the vandalism and the illegal caravan parks.

Lol pull that shit in Texas and you'll get yer butt whooped. We represent like Walker Texas Ranger in this bitch!
Srsly tho, no man should stand aside when seeing a woman get treated like that.
If the're the most likeable ones the're still a bunch of arrogant wankers. Love how they were indignant about the way the police were treating them at Appleby so to prove what peaceful, respectful citizens they were they turned a load of horses loose, crapping all over the road and staged a big march through the village.
They seem to think there should be one law for them and one for everyone else. Wingeing on because he wasn't allowed to camp where he feels like - news flash - nor is anyone else.
Just watched last night's one. Honestly Peter I get what you're saying in that the gypsies don't make themselves look great, but are you listening to the commentary?! It's so sympathetic towards them, lots of stuff about 'the gypsies are fighting to keep their traditions alive' and 'persecution against gypsies is alive and well' with no real mention of the fact that it's because they're notorious for being rowdy and troublesome.
When that girl's family got kicked out a hotel for being too noisy it was all 'bridget's family have been asked to leave for being too noisy, ON THE NIGHT BEFORE HER WEDDING'. Like, never mind that you have to be pretty anti-social to get kicked out a hotel.
I was talking about this with my SO and we thought perhaps they had to agree to film them as sympathetically as possible before they could actually get access to them. I'd love to see a better expose though, that addresses why they've got such a bad reputation rather than skimming over it like it's a misunderstanding.
Yeah me too, I mean my view on them is based 100% on what I've actually seen of them, which is always trouble. If they're in front of me at a checkout there is always a problem. My brother worked in a bar for a bit and the only two times he had any trouble there both was to do with travellers. I've actually witnessed them stealing stuff a few times as well
I say send'em to us yanks, we'll get'em right. *cracks open the twice barell*
