This is the problem with online forums. There will always be difference of opinions. Some which can be resolved. Some that can't. This one definately won't, so just a suggestion. Ignore the threads you disagree with....or just don't bother. The rules have been set, and it won't be changed.

The major problem, I foresee already is he likes to make his opinion known and he thinks his opinion rules above all. So unless he leaves, voluntarily or is forced to do so, this stuff will continue. Personally I will not stifle myself because of a hypocrite or two.

Everyone has a right to be who they are on forums. If there are rules, then obviously they must abide by them. If there are not rules to state such things, then there is no reason to stop what you want to post.

I personally love this forum, and those of you who post in it.
I will however be careful what I post in future, because there are children present. But I certainly won't tell you guys what you should and shouldn't post. That is your prerogative, I find this forum fun

I'm mystified as to what harm would come from a child hearing a word? :confused If you're going to be all paranoid about bringing up children though, I would think that a parent that used the odd swear word would have higher standards and are a better example to their children than some judgemental arsehole who calls someone a bad parent without knowing the first thing about them.

Ultimately after thinking about it, you're right. I just find it a shame that a somewhat decent forum would put up with such language that allows minors to join and post.

I realize it's a "real world" out there, and I'm certain I've been through more adversity and tribulations than some here, but I've learned to try and better my life.

Sorry, but IMO there is no reason to allow obscene language on a "normal" basis on a public social forum.

It's not a freakin' pissing contest. Don't come in here demanding respect when you're basically saying no one else here has been through any hardships.

I love the way this forum is run. There are some bad moments, but they never out weigh the good. So if you refuse to post here because of a few cuss words, this obviously isn't the place for you.

Someone got bent outta shape because someone else used FUCK in a title to a thread after having a welcome thread for PBBB who is 13... then everyone weighed in and someone is still pissy about the word fuck..

On another note, I knew this guy who read that book and then he got rid of all his material possessions and starting fasting all day - he would eat one protein bar when the sun went down. I mean he was fucking bonkers before he read the book, but the book made him cranky and more creepy.

He kept inviting me to go see his room - he said with all his furniture and stuff gone there was plenty of room to roll around.
