I don't consider myself a troll. If you go through my limited posts on this forum, I'd like to think you wouldn't consider me a troll. I'm sorry, but I do work hard in my chosen profession and my time is limited, so I'll never have an extremely high post count on a "general social forum".

Personally, I find foul language unwarranted on a public internet forum, particularly when there are minors who frequent said site. I raised my concern on that fact, and for the most part, got flack over it.

I have no qualms with getting dirty with the pigs in the mud pen, even if the pigs are popular.

How sheltered are you, quite honestly, that you feel offended for other people in an issue that isnt even really a concern?
Schoolyards are full of foul language, I learned my first swear words in second grade. Used them in fourth grade, and that was at a private school!
Honestly words are only taboo because people in society have made them that way. Theres no reason to be offended of the word itself, only connotation.
I don't need to swear to make my point, but I think that a 'minor's' exposure to a few swear words isn't our concern, it should be the parent's

I've been shot at, and I shot back. Seen things I'd prefer not to, but that's life. Been in jail a couple times but only as a civilian (and ironically enough, a couple of times a year we have a local LEO shoot over at my home). Also happen to be a college grad, work hard and make what some would consider a very decent living now. Have traveled to multiple countries, lived in about 11 states. Personally, consider myself a decent guy, but if you try to forcefully break into my home, the cops will be called, but if you don't leave, good chance you'll be dead.

I happen to think I'm a well pretty well rounded guy whose seen and done pretty much in my life.

I realize some people have gutter mouths, but that does not mean it has to be accepted.

I've had bigger and badder people to deal with other than internet ninja's, but I'm figuring if people want to try and run me off, it will be only a matter of time that I'm considered a "disruption" because I have a hard time taking crap in my older age LOL

In the grand scheme of things, it's only an internet forum and there are more important things in life to deal with.

Good to know. :thumbup Just be aware of the rules of the forum. You're not breaking them, but so that you can be aware of what is and is not acceptable here. V is a nice lady and has done much to ensure this social forum continues on. It goes without saying that the boss is the boss - what she says goes and as much as you may not like it, foul language can be part of that.

Not everyone talks with a gutter mouth all the time. The choice is yours though as to whether you can live with it. Just be aware that reiterating your dislike of it is not going to make one iota of difference to the rules of this particular forum so if you are sticking around, just pass over stuff that bothers you and ignore folk that do.

Yes. I am a minor. I am 16 and have been part of this site since 2008 when I was 12 or 13. Yes people swear in this community. I'd like to actually see a site where people don't swear. But that is not possible because we are on the internet. The people here are good people and if you can't get along with them it's best you leave. We do not need anymore people stirring up shit. Follow the rules you'll be accepted. If not you should just leave.
