If good time is an automatic thing that every person gets, then I'd think that the Judge would know the release date within minutes of giving a sentence.

The judge doesn't calculate that date at the bench as far as I know, they just hand down the sentence. The state or probation officer (I guess depending on the court) making the recommendation must indicate the jail credit. The deputies make note, so the sentence can be added to the inmate's case log on the electronic jailer system, where the calculation is done. Judges usually don't care about the exact date the inmate gets out unless it is part of the terms of the sentencing (ex. probation upon release, or suspend sentence on ____ date for PA-511, etc).

I would guess it was made public quickly for the sake of this trial.
Hopefully that's what you were asking lol

We know who is right but my point was she didn't base her comments on the evidence that was presented at the trial and that's what's really important. ;)

I never said she based her comments on what was said at the trial.

It was her comments about what was NOT done that is the point.

But then you said you did not read the entire article ;):D

I just saw her out date is now July 17th, thought I'd share. There was a miscalculation. This happens all the time. I have 65 inmates on my caseload and I'd say at least 70% of them have changed out dates for one reason or another.

Or dredge up that story of the teenage girl that was abducted on her high school senior grad trip.
Oh geez!!! I feel for the parents and I hope that the find her body one day...but I think it's doubtful. And I don't think those poor parents will EVER know what really happened b/c the POS that is more than likely responsible comes up w/ a new lie everytime he opens his mouth (hmmm, sound familiar??? LOL)

Except he's in jail for murder, finally. Not for THIS case, but at least it eventually caught up with him.

Yeah...but had they been able to put him away for her death maybe this other woman would still be alive.

Really? Never saw anything on that.

Yep...picked up some chick at a bar, took her back to the hotel, walked out later leaving her dead in the hotel room.

Man, if I ever saw that guy I would be sure to stay miles away from him.
Oh yeah. And I don't mean to be ugly, but it's funny how easily he has been put behind bars now that daddy is dead. And as with the Holloway case, he has also had multiple stories w/ this case. He confessed but has since attempted to recant his confession claiming he was intimidated by the police.
