The entire case was shown on TruTv (Court TV) live. I mainly listened to the case as presented and not what the media was saying.

It really doesn't matter what you feel. She is 200% innocent until the prosecution proves otherwise.Have you followed the case at all??? I wanted her convicted because, *gasp*, I BELIEVE she is guilty!!! The state does not have enough evidence...shit happens. When a dead body lays in a swamp for 6 months you'd be amazed how little evidence can be left. I don't understand what you're not getting here??? There's a difference in WANTING her convicted and EXPECTING her to be convicted based on evidence that doesn't meet the burden of proof. Either way, it doesn't matter now...she's been found innocent and will more than likely walk out of that courthouse tomorrow a free woman.
I agree that ridiculous amounts of money was spent. I also think that this case should not have been the media circus that is evolved into. Most people are unhappy at the amount of public money spent and no coviction. We have a 2yr old dead and some is responsable
Plus her life is pretty much ruined now anyways. She is not that "free".
Your child is at a baby sitter who has a flawless reputationShe is the mother. She was responsable for her child. Child dies, How is Mother not involved.
If people don't want Casey Anthony to get rich off a book deal than *GASP* they shouldn't buy the book. It's that easy.
You can believe what you want to believe, I'm too lazy to go through this thread to hand pick them out, but they are there.
Also, no one argued that the state did their job correctly either.
Yes, I know not guilty does not equal innocence, although there is a stupid saying somewhere, what is it, oh yeah... "innocent until proven guilty".
Its not an absolute. She is guilty of child endangerment, child neglect, covering up an accident, not reporting a death of a minor, etc. What matters about length of jail time to serve?
Not reporting the death of a minor - not a crime as far as I'm aware
Just as an fyi it is a felony in some states not to report a death/dead body.
That's why I said as far as I'm aware. But thanks for the heads up... I may have been distracted by the singling out of it being a minor. So I'll change my reasoning to, gasp, no evidence to support it.
:24:
Innocent until proven guilty is a stupid saying? It's the FUCKING BASIS of our judicial system. Jesus Christ, I really wonder about some of you people and the complete bullshit you spew.
It was a sarcastic statement. You spew so much BS it clogs up the bandwidth on my router.
Oh wait, I see you're in California where that is norm. My bad!
Based on everything else you've said, it's hard to believe that it was a sarcastic statement. I call things the way that I see them, apparently you're incapable of handling that. Doesn't bother me.
Oh and the statement of clogging up the bandwidth on your router is a non-sensical statement that shows a lack of knowledge about what you speak. Just as an aside.![]()
