Our local morning news is still managing to fill at least 7 minutes with Casey... I blew by it all.

We have restaurants putting up signs that the Jurors are not allowed. Really? Oh please...... How 'bout the lawyers that didn't prove their case instead?

FFS That does it! I'm putting out an APB in Canada to warn the snowbirds to stay home this winter. So much for the Florida economy.

Again, the media circus is designed to stir up emotion. That it's done. Focused wrongly of course. But still successful.

We can't nash our teeth over our shit economy getting shittier so we nash our teeth over simple stuff.

I don't blame ya. I FacePalmed when I saw the story last night..... At least they managed to find one customer w/sanity. I wonder if the rest of the patrons lynched him when the cameras were gone?:willy_nilly:

Why are people complaining? The ruling shows that the justice system works.

"The burden of proof lies on the prosecution, it is their job to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt."

Most people are unhappy at the amount of public money spent and no coviction. We have a 2yr old dead and some is responsable

Wow she sure looks different today. Her hair is down, different clothes, she's smiling and winking. No jury to impress anymore. Her acting job is over.

She's giggling with her lawyers and crap. Well, she's probably delighted she isn't going to prison.

I obviously cannot be sure, but for her charges, which I believe were check fraud (UP) and the illegal retention and use of a financial transaction device (feel free to correct, I thought I read this) she should have gotten about a year or so in county jail with 2-5 years probation, depending on the amount she stole/used.

She's way over that. Unless the judge departs, she should have plenty of jail credit to neutralize this conviction.

He's going to give her 4 years, but they still have to calculate the time served.

If we start setting the precedent that you can be arrested, held, tried and found not guilty but then have to PAY for the ordeal you were put through - I see a future when police and courts randomly arrest people for crimes they didn't commit simply to raise revenue for the State. No thanks. I'm sorry they lost, but guess what Florida, tough shit. You fucked up the case, you pay for it.
