It is messed up when people are trying to escape from a country. I saw a video where North Koreans were forced to lline up and cry in front of a picture of Kim Jung Il after his death. That is wack!

.......................

This isn't ancient history but it must be the atheist vision for the future society they have in mind where people aren't allowed to practice their religion or believe in a God other than their leader.

So far you haven't been able to prove that there is a uniform atheist vision other than of the individuals that run particular nations.
As commented before, your logic breaks down when other atrocities are discussed that occurred within religious boundaries.
From logic, there is a common factor that is not your absolute.
And it is the arrogance of man.

As shown, your argument is based on a fallacy. An absolute that doesn't extend to all people and a trait that crosses into the apparent objective of your argument.....proving righteousness as a believer.... rather than righteousness through accountability.

The topic would be interesting if it were really meant to be discussed but I think these threads are nothing more than an emotional agenda.

Those new atheists love to talk about how bad religion is for society. They love to bring up ancient history and blame wars on religion and yet they completely ignore the atrocities carried out by atheist regimes in the 20th century. To see the result of an atheist regime you only have to look at Russia, China or North Korea. North Korea is on of the most oppressive countries today and it is atheist run.

Technically religion is legal but only if approved by the atheist government. To worship anything but the atheist leader is seen as a threat and those who practice religion are often in danger of being thrown in prison or worse. Many defectors from North Korea have attested that any form of adherence to the Christian faith, even the mere possessing of a Bible, can be considered a reason for arrest and deportation to a DPRK prison camp. Even though it is a very controlled country it isn't hard to find images of starving children or people being abused by this atheist regime.

This isn't ancient history but it must be the atheist vision for the future society they have in mind where people aren't allowed to practice their religion or believe in a God other than their leader.

Are you really trying to propose that all megalomaniac despotic rulers out there are Atheists? That Atheists corner the market on bad deeds as compared to their Christian/Muslim counterparts? Look at the history of the human race and get a little more educated on the subject. :)

In September 2011, the Harvard International Review published an article which argued that North Korea was violating the UN Genocide Convention in every possible way, through its systematic killing of half-Chinese babies and religious groups. I am sure these atheists have a very rational reason for doing so.

Another boring fallacy.
