True, but for what purpose? The American economy wasted, what was it, $700 billion of tax payer money on trying to recover from a financial crisis, all on banks, and then motor companies. In the next crisis, I don't know how it's going to be fixed seeing as that every time they've been in one before they either lower the rates (which they can't now because rates are already pretty low) or they inject more money into the economy but they can't do that because it will mean more debt, but the debt is what created the problem in the first place. See any problems with that? I hope you do.

Banks = bad lol. Particularly the Fed.

I figured half an hour wasn't long, compared to recent Zeitgeist movie of 2 hours and 40 minutes lol.

The Fed tries to keep equilibrium in the economy. I have not watched your movie, but I would not call that a bad thing persee. Yes, Banks can be very bad. In the big leagues, the current American Dream is to make yourself fabulously wealthy. One popular method is by stabbing as many fellow citizens in the back by shipping their jobs overseas so you can pat yourself on the back and exclaim what a success you are.

SAN ANTONIO — Some of the world’s pre-eminent experts on bias discovered an unexpected form of it at their annual meeting.

How do your moral intuitions shape your political ideology?

You can get a personalized answer by filling out a short questionnaire at Your Morals, a research project of Jonathan Haidt, the subject of this Findings column, and six other social psychologists.

Discrimination is always high on the agenda at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology’s conference, where psychologists discuss their research on racial prejudice, homophobia, sexism, stereotype threat and unconscious bias against minorities. But the most talked-about speech at this year’s meeting, which ended Jan. 30, involved a new “outgroup.”

You realize that the Fed isn't the only central bank in the world? Your country also has one as well. If you're going to put blame on that institution, you have to also spread the blame around to them all.

I think both concept and application of it are bad. Not sure how to word this exactly, but the whole thing just sets itself up for shortcomings, and tries to protect itself with even more things that make it worse. Even when we take people out of the picture, the fractional reserve banking system is flawed. The total money owed (debt: the principal and the interest) is always greater than what's in the money supply. Money is created out of debt, from the very beginning when the Government asks for a loan from the Fed. If all debt were to be paid off, not only would there be no money left in circulation anywhere, but there would still be a significant amount owed back. When money is created out of debt, they only create the principal, not the interest, hence why the supply is less than the total debt to be repaid.
The creation of money out of nothing is what devalues the currency. Since the introduction of the Fed, currency has devalued/debased currency by 96%. The value of newly created money gets its value from the money already in supply, so it literally steals value from it, and as the value is forced to spread across, the buying power of a dollar decreases as prices rise and supply-demand finds equilibrium. I guess you can say inflation is a hidden tax on the public too.

Can someone tell me how this very thread pays out on American people?

And can someone also tell me how this pays out on American people? Particularly when I have not given my opinion on the matter yet? Hmm?

Oh and this thread. How did THIS thread pay out on American people? Especially when the whole thing is about trying to protect PEOPLE from stuff. Oh no, of course you don't know, you don't even pay attention.
