when I say not in a position to save, I'm talking about financially. Of course anyone can open a bank account, but I'm afraid the reality is that VERY few people earn enough to live off, let alone put aside.

Yes, it's about the whole system, not just one bank.

Just wait until you finish uni, then come the fees, credit cards, a job, possibly some debt for a house or maybe wasting everything on rent. And the point the movie makes about it is that the spending power of the dollar decreases. You have to work more to earn enough to keep up with the inflation, and inflation is a hidden tax on the public.
