What?! Oh dear lord... Kids have been playing with dolls for CENTURIES. Do you really think that caring for dollies makes them want to have babies at 16? No, kids have babies at young ages because of TV shows like 16 and pregnant that glorify pregnancy.

^^^ This. :clap

Kids are always playing games that mimick adult behaviour, dosen't mean they feel they are ready to do it now, for real. Kids are always talking about what they want to do when they grow up, when they grow up being the opperative phrase that shows they feel they arn't ready for it now.
Besides, whats wrong with girls wanting to have babies when they are grown up? When I see little girls playing babies, the're also fantasising about being married to a handsome, charming man who looks after his family, not about living in a council flat as a single mum, watching Jeremy Kyle every morning.

I find the flower nipples on the girl's top a bit odd.

But a breastfeeding doll itself, I have no problem with. You have bottle fed dolls so, why not have a dolls showing a different method of feeding.

I think they are too young to learn how to breastfeed, when they are older (legal), and when they are pregnant then they should learn, not at that age

But many children come into contact with breastfeeding in everyday situations, especially in recent time as women feel more comfortable to feed their children in public. Why make it some taboo thing that you have to be over 16?17?18? to know about.

I am not against them learning about breastfeeding as a whole, but I personally think they are too young at that age too have something like dolls that teach them.

so its wrong to teach children how to feed? does that mean that its wrong for them to see baby animals nursing on their mom's teet?

breastfeeding is natural. why is learning that milk comes from breast to feed a baby wrong?

the only reason someone would think it to be wrong is because they only see breasts as a sexual thing. thats the main reason why people have a problem with breastfeeding.

ignorance truly makes me :mad

Just because someone sees it as not being fit for their child does not make them ignorant.

I think the doll is weird, yes. I "breastfed" my dolls and didn't need any foofie stuff. I think it's something girls figure out anyhow, but I see no need to encourage it at such a young age. I wouldn't buy it for my child.

I personally would not buy that for my daughter. Not because I see anything wrong with it or whatever. I just don't know what I would do if I came home one day and my (possibly future) son was wearing that thing trying to feed his sisters baby doll! :eek :D :24: :jk

How is this ignorance? I would prefer if children were taught in school about breastfeeding, rather than get dolls in order to teach them

I think its cute/creepy at the same time... the flower tassles do it for the creep factor :24:

I will not buy it for Amara, just because she already has a baby doll.

I don't see anything wrong w/ it. Why should little girls be brought up thinking that their mom breastfeeding their little brothers and sisters is something dirty or wrong??? And, I'm sorry, but the "it's encouraging them to have children at a younger age" thing is one of THE most asinine things I have EVER heard.
