I cant stand the term at all but i do have some thoughts....I think some men hold traditional values (even though they dont consider themselves to be "traditional" kinda people) and they want a woman that has not slept around. They want to be the the only guy who has ever touched her. The idea of a woman passing herself around as the "soup de jour" to many different guys might make a guy worry about what she might have picked up.

While I can agree with you that sex is an awesome thing...I dont think its stupid for a guy to steer clear of any girl who sleeps around a lot.

IMO, the only reason you think being "slutty" is a great thing is because you are only thinking about yourself and what you'll get out of it. You got a sister? Would you still think she is awesome if she got drunk and passed herself around amongst the guys at a college frat party? If not a sister then substitute any female figure in your life that you care about....then you might understand why bed-hopping is not such a great thing.

Yes, my best friend is female, and I love her as a sister, I would do anything for her. Yes, she sleeps around with random men when she feels the need for some sex, and I think its a great thing.

Of course sex is awesome, however your theory falls apart when one considers things like self control. Also, the way you frame the word "put out" sounds like women are supposed to be inferior sexually to men by submitting to their lust.


A girl who sleeps around is trouble. Plain and simple. I am willing to say that the vast majority of women who are very easy and sleep around often will have nothing but problems in their lives. Plus, usually women who put out often to random guys have a lot of emotional and psychological problems.

What I was saying is men will brag about how many girls they fuck and be proud of it (which is fine), and most woman will either not do it (again fine), or do it but stay silent about it because they are scared of the title they will be given. I am saying, they should be allowed to have random sex in mass and not be called a slut by ANYONE because of it.

I'd only say a person is a slut if they sleep with others with no regard to genuine affection or sexual attraction. People who cheat on their significant others would qualify as well.

Who said anything about spreading. If they guy uses a condom, then the main risk of spreading disease is from the mouth, which can happen by coughing, sneezing, etc.

I think we all have our own personal opinions of when a woman becomes a slut. For me, if a woman sleeps with more than ten men in a relatively short period of time, say, 2 years, she is a slut, IMO.
For me, sex is something special, and should only be shared between two people who love each other. People who screw just about everyone are disrespecting their bodies.

It does make me angered when a woman who sleeps around is labelled a slut, but when a man sleeps with literally hundreds of women, that's somehow a good thing. He's a 'stud' or a 'womaniser' which I guess is a fancy word for a male slut. Hello, James Blunt, yes, I am talking about you.

In the end, personally, I think sleeping around for either gender is destructive. Sex is a pretty emotional thing, and to cheapen it by putting your dick into just about anything is moronic.

When I say sleeping around, I mean people that actively go out to just find strangers and have one night stands. I think its different though if you know the person and have sex with them. If you know each other well, whatever. Having a single fuck buddy is OK by me if thats the only fuck buddy in your life (if you know they're clean). The sex is not cheapened because you are in a sort of friendship with them and know them. OTHER THAN THAT, I don't think sex should be just something you throw around on the basis of several one night stands every night when you go out to the club and find a warm body.

i agree but at the same time, in my OWN personal life for MY morals, i would consider myself dirty and feel slutty if i slept with X amount of guys per week.
sex is a fun thing to do, some like it more than others and some have a bigger sex drive..
but for anyone to judge and say so and so is a slut, i think is abosultly wrong because i think in one point in time we have all been slutty and either ar to ashamed to addmit it. Everyone has a different opinion on what the term "slutty" or abeing a "slut" actually is..there is so many different oppinions that i think that in some way or another you have been a slut in someones eyes.
