No, it's not the same. Men and women were not separated into different showers based on sexual preference, it was based on what equipment you had.




So a room full of naked men showering together is more "private" than if one of the men was gay?



Ok, so don't ask don't tell was abolished. Gays are already serving and showering with their straight counterparts. So how will it be any different when they can actually admit they are gay without worrying about getting kicked out? :dunno

I have sister in law in the army and she said most of the homosexuals were already open about their sexual preferences anyway.

Right so if we make Gays hide their sexuality, as they did for many many years, what will that accomplish ?

Other then make straight people either think they are with Heterosexuals or insecure they are with all Homosexuals when in fact they will have no freaking idea.. :ninja

Okay, I'm going to put this in big bold text so it gets noticed.

First off, if you are racist or homophobic or sexist, that is certainly your choice...but that kind of talk will NOT be tolerated on this website. Yes, this is directed specifically at you, Maz. You are perfectly w/in your rights to believe homosexuality is wrong or a sin, but painting homosexuals as sick, perverted, or disgusting is crossing the line and will NOT be tolerated. Same goes if porterjack (for example) was to come on here spouting white supremacy literature.

Secondly, trying to bait members into arguments or intentionally shit-stirring (i.e. trolling) will also not be tolerated. This is directed at EVERYONE.

Thirdly, responding to trolls in a manner that is abusive will ALSO not be tolerated. This again applies to everyone.

Either keep it civil on all levels or infractions will be handed out...and they will be handed out to EVERYONE who participates in one of the manners listed above. You are all adults and should be able to debate in a reasonable and respectable manner w/o resulting to name-calling, insults, or offensive posts.

We have tried to let everybody handle it civilly like adults but apparently it is not working. So we'll step it up a notch. Please continue to report posts (ones that are reportable...not ones that say nothing even remotely offensive but are simply posted by someone that you find offensive). Please do not PM the mods instead of reporting...it needs to be reported for discussion amongst mods and PMing one or two mods just delays the process.

Actually, bigotry is an adult thing. Small children don't have it. Unfortunately they learn it from adults.

Men taking group showers most likely have all ready been viewed by someone coveting their "junk". What's the difference now? You are being evaluated regardless of sexual orientation.
