For those that want to ask how I handled it but are afraid.. I politely declined their invitation the first time. The second time wasn't so polite. I never hit anyone for asking the third time but I'll have you know they didn't ask a forth. :thumbup

I see what you are saying... So in the same sense it would be just as wrong as saying you wouldn't shower with a gay man as it would be saying you wouldn't shower with a dirty muslim.

For the record, I don't care who is in a public shower with me. Straight man, gay man, straight woman, lesbian, goat, midget, clown in full make-up, or even a Pakistani. As long as I get clean that's all that matters.

I guess if I was in the situation where a communal shower was the only option, I wouldn't care who I had to shower with. I will say, though, that I would be more bothered by taking a shower w/ someone that could possibly be a love interest (meaning a straight male, whether I was interested in him or not) just b/c of all those self-conscious body image hang-ups that we women tend to have when getting nekkid in front of guys that might actually be interested in looking. LOL

Sometimes I take a shower with my wife and that's always fun. Other than that, I prefer to shower alone but if I must shower with someone else then it wouldn't make any difference to me if they were straight or gay, man or woman.

To me, the general consensus of this thread is " I wouldn't take a shower with someone who would target me for unwanted sexual attention" This transcends sexual orientation.

I also think that DADT is an outdated policy that is just another form of discrimination.

Also, if the general public disagrees with DADT, than it should be repealed. The people, the government, and the military need to be on the same page.
