I found this comment very funny, & while I agree with Peter's response, I would just like to point out another reason, or two, why the Bible may be one of the most dangerous books on the planet - the Inquisition, the Crusades.

Don't get me wrong, in this example the Koran is just as bad.

Even though the bible has god committing genocide in it, I doubt many Christians see it as a positive thing.

Exactly .. that's what "christians" are wanting to prevent in all actuality.

And it should truly only offend those who BELIEVE what they are reading, imo... otherwise it should be no different to you than a science fiction novel.
