I think they should, with a sport of their choice, it's not just about keeping fit or anything either playing sport gives you great social skills and teaches you to work as a team. I wish I had have been made to do sports.

^^^^^sports teach you nothing about working in a team, even if they promote this "team unity" bullshit. I played football for 4 years before I realized what a waste of time it was. there are better ways to teach people about teamwork than trying to make them believe running sprints and doing countless push-ups will make them succeed in life...

i dnt like sprts at skl at all. altho in previous yrs it has done some good. i think in the GCSE years tho (10 and up) they shoodnt make it compulsory. if the kids wanted to do it they would have chosen it for GCSE and if they r fat then it is 2 late by then aniway

Forced, no. Encouraged, yes. Nobody should be forced to play sports. Physical Education on the other hand should be mandatory. There are too many unhealthy kids, and it's important to get exercise in one form or another. Physical Ed. should be something you like, so you'll want to do it.
