The pain is no different from adult to child. I won't believe it is. I will agree there is no recollection.
I have read it somewhere before, and I can tell you from personal difference there is a visual difference in the head of the penis between cut and uncut. I tried to google to find something to back me up, and it seems to be split about 50/50. There's been a LOT of studies done beyond just sensitivity but as far as lubrication and stimulation of vaginal walls, etc. Interesting stuff.

To answer someone's question from earlier I CARE what my penis looks like, I much prefer not having foreskin than I would having it, again I don't see any drawbacks, also as far as consent goes, can babies consent to ANYTHING? of course they can't, that's why they have parents to make decisions for them, Babies don't consent to what type of food they eat or what clothes they wear, they must eat and wear what their parents provide for them, IMHO a parent has every right to have a perfectly safe, legitimate medical procedure performed that could benefit the health of their child if they want to.

There have been too many conflicting studies on whether there actually IS any health benefits...I dont believe there are...
I am rapt most doctors here refuse to do it...that definitely tells me its an UNneccessary procedure performed for religious reasons and/or appearance only
and you cant compare feeding and clothing a baby to a painful, irreversible medical procedure...:willy_nilly:

I totally agree with you that it is unnecessary, and that it is done purely for religious and/or cosmetic reasons, and of course there is no PROOF that there are benefits, but there is evidence to suggest that there could be, A parent chooses how their child eats, what they wear, their hair cut, ETC., I see no reason why they shouldn't choose whether or not the kid is circumsized. Everything I've heard says that it is MUCH more painful to have the procedure done as an adult as well.

I also don't approve when parents do piercings on their babies. Nor would I approve of giving a baby a tat. Although I don't know any parents who have done that.
If I had been given the choice I would not have gotten circumcised. I've heard sex is more pleasurable for uncircumcised men. As far as health concerns... that's what soap is for.

I had my son circumcised, and I was circumcised as well. I'm glad that I was, and I'd have it done to my son again. I don't understand what the big deal is. Claiming that sex if you're uncut is more pleasurable is speculation at best.

I was replaying this thread for Matt and told him one of the things that keeps getting repeated is that they look weird.
I said if you think about it circumsized looks weird because it's not natural. His response was that platypusses (platypii?) look weird and they're natural... Just thought it was funny and felt like sharing.
