You are completely free at this point in time to do whatever crime or sin you wish.
You do not take that freedom do you?

Freedom is taken. it cannot be given.
You have it ALL wrong. God gave me free will to make CHOICES. I make the right moral choices not to sin or commit crimes. Freedom CAN be taken away but it is not given unless you have just been released from jail/prison. That's the only time that freedom is accepted.

Do you recall what happened when the U S ended slavery. The people gave freedom to all slaves yet some slaves did not take it and remained in bondage.

Some of the slaves made the CHOICE not to be to freed. They didn't not take the freedom given to them because they CHOSE not to. They used their God Given free will to make a CHOICE.

Who said about forgiving children in this matter? I never said that, so please stop misconstrue everything I say

I'm glad to hear that. For a minute I thought you were saying it would be okay if someone, such as God, were to punish children for the sins of their parents. Sorry I misunderstood.

I agree. Freedom can and in some cases should be limited. That's why the argument that God allows evil in this world because we have free will is BS. There is never a justification for allowing violent crime if you have the power to prevent it. People should not be free to commit violent crime.

When exactly did God give you this free will and if he gave it to you, he must have given it to all. If that is the case, why is he seen, all over the O t, as clawing it back from those whose free will was towards living, while God was killing them?

Why should anyone give you an opinion with that attitude? You don't own this forum, what gives you the right to say that to anyone?

The same thing that gives you the right to hound me without speaking to the issue at hand.

My manners say not to chase people an harass them. I give you the same opportunity to do the right thing and take your childish ways elsewhere.

I agree that for today, it is insane. When it was written, it may have served a better purpose than today.

People used to think if someone died young then they must have committed some sin and God was punishing them. If the man's children died with him then they probably assumed God was punishing his children too. In reality the man was just a victim of bad luck and God got blamed. I think the scripture was just the ancient Hebrews' attempt to explain why bad things happened to people.

Yes. The problem or issue of evil has always confused many.

With our knowledge of evolutionary forces, this head scratching may finally come to a halt as we recognize that as evolving creatures, we will do either the good/cooperation or the evil/competition to survive. Our instincts are to do whichever seems right to do.
We usually go through life with a blend of the two.

God gives free will to everyone from the day they are born. And I really don't understand what your next question is. God doesn't kill people. People die naturally, from diseases, catastophies and other reasons. God isn't the one making these things happen. We all are going to die at some time some sooner than others. Are you implying that God is behind every death that occurs? Cuz if you are then you have no grasp on reality.

Was the deaths at Sodom or in the days of Noah's genocide natural deaths or was God clawing back our free will to live as he killed us?

Wish you weren't paranoid when you try to think that I'm hounding you, there is no one 'hounding' you. Who wants to?
