Probably if he shot the person who struck him it might be different but that is not the case 6 people were shot and 3 fatally.
Perhaps, but since I wasn't there, from what I've read, I can see it going down just like it happened.
From the news, it seems both guys who didn't have the guns started the punching and hitting with bottles of some sort. Have a guy take out a sidearm and start shooting until the mags empty at a crowded party, could see 3 going down although a couple may or may not of been the intended target.
Guys/guy should never of went looking for a woman (or whatever they were doing at the party) with guns on their person in the first place, but by the same token, perhaps the guys who started the hitting could of handled it differently which would of prevented the guy from pulling out the gun?
Don't get me wrong, the guy should be arrested for murder (and convicted), I'm just saying I could at least understand why might of pulled the gun but his mistake was he put himself there to begin with.
General rule, when one carries, one NEVER starts or continues the escalation of aggression, but something tells me the odds of this guy having this gun legally might be 50/50 to begin with. Never mind, after reading this guys past history, no way he was carrying it legally.
Without looking at the laws and regulations of gun laws in Alabama, chances are this guy is a prime example of why it's not the gun laws on the books that need to be changed, but the enforcement of those laws. I'm guessing the jails are to crowded to throw someone in for carrying a gun illegally.
