What can I tell you except that I'm bored so I was going through some of my pictures and cleaning house. Here's a couple moon shots I've taken over the years. If you have some feel free to post 'em.

During the day type moon....

Same location but a bit later on in the evening...

I'm saving THAT moon shot for a special time if you know what I mean.
Yes.... The I'll show you mine if you show me yours..... Special Times! ;)

Glad you liked 'em. And I resized 'em small enough for you to see 'em this time.
Every one of them opened up perfectly and within seconds. Thankz from the 'bottom' of my heart, Sugarpie. :D

What lens and camera did u use to shoot this? You got pretty close!
If memory serves me correct it was either the 70 - 200 IS F2.8 or the 100 - 400mm IS. I'm too lazy to look. Probably the 100 - 400 on them all except the daylight shot.

Those are lovely shots. They make me sad because I haven't acheived pics like that yet. The second one is gorgeous. It is my goal in life to get shots like the last two.

Thanks Zirc.

You could get achieve your goal real fast. Buy a damn good tripod and a Canon 100 - 400mm lens. Then stack on a multiplier for good measure and you would get even closer.

psstttt... I handheld the camera and lens for the last shot but I was leaning against my deck railing. :D

I have a really good tripod already. A Canon lens would be useless to me because I have a Nikon camera. :p

What kind of settings do you use for white balance and ISO? What about aperture and shutter speed?

I got this shot earlier this year. I think it's kinda cool. :D

I would say its the 400mm...dont think the 300mm would get u as close as that...

Yours is great. and yes, trying to get a good shot of the moon has always been hard for me, it always comes out too furry. I am not a photographer so I don't know about lenses and stuff, so that may be why lol
