:nod: right on girl but the difference is the age thing that makes it a problem in the grand scheme of things
Exactly. I mean, what two consenting adults do in their own bedroom, on their own cellphones, or whatever is their business. A 12 year old shouldn't even be knowledgeable enough to have a decent sexting session. Geez...when I was 12 I don't think I even knew what oral sex was!!! Now kids that age are having parties for it!!!

I have a problem with the whole children having cellphones thing anyways... Most children aren't responsible enough. I know damn well if cellphones were available like they are now when I was a child i wouldnt have one. Hell alot of adults aren't responsible enough.

I wasn't allowed off the front porch at 16 years old practically, let alone have a cell phone.

Let me explain..... I was a good girl..... dad was worried about the guys and stuff they might want to do.... He must have been a hand full to worry so much. Just saying.....

But yeah..... 12 and a cell. No way. Give 'em a Barbie Doll or a fishing pole. :D

This is why we'll probably only get our kids a Firefly until they're older. (not sure it's available world wide)

It can only dial numbers in the phonebook, which is controlled by the parents through a web interface. It can also be set to only receive calls from those numbers. No texting. And a speed dial to mom dad and emergency services.

Butterfly, we have something similar here in the states but I can't remember what company it is that offers it. Basically the phone is only allowed to dial something like 4 contacts and 911. Like the phone shown above, there are no number keys or anything like that, so there's no way for the kids to override it from the phone. I think it's super cheap, too...like $10 or $20 per month.

I believe Firefly's available in the US. Disney also has one with a child locator. It displays where your child is on your cellphone via a map.
