Today I saw a woman smoking in her car while her child was in the car with her. I have a real big problem with this. Are people still this uneducated in this day and age? Children are contracting serious illnesses because of their parents smoking at home as well! ---A woman on my street smokes in her home while her children play near by. In some way shape or form that IMO is a form of child abuse. I suppose its hard to quit smoking, but how hard is it to leave the house or wait til you reach destination before lighting up in the car with your child?

One of my friends does this. Smoking in her car with her infant in the back seat. Windows up. Even with the A/C on, that shit can't be good. Some people are just failures as parents.

I guess I would feel a duty to my child to quit smoking. It just seems so unnecessary to me. I wouldn't want my children growing up thinking smoking is sensible, just because me, or their mother do so. I'm not a smoker though.

Even going outside... that shit gets dragged back in with you. I have two coworkers that smoke and they do so outside. When they get back, they still stink of it. They should just as well smoke in their offices. :thumbdown

there is a difference between smelling and smoking :)

ANd I like the smell of cigarettes, and I have met those who don't smoke who also like the smell, and I defy anyone to say they dont like the smell of fresh tobacco!

That is illegal in this country I think, I'm pretty sure the law says no where with 4 walls or an enclosed space, or at doorways.

Generally I, and most smokers I know are considerate.

Parents who smoke in front of their children also have a wonderful way of coming up with the most ridiculous excuses as to why they smoke in front of their children. "OH MY CHILD CANT SMELL IT, IM IN ANOTHER ROOM'

It's not sensible, being honest and open with your kids about it is the best way though, since when did any of us respect what our parents said was right, as kids?

I've never had any complaints, pretty sure I haven't missed out in relationships because of it, government health propaganda, nothing more.

Sadly, the're not which is why we get all these big brother shit laws.:thumbdown
