Has anyone seen this interview? Here is a portion covering her foreign policy experience.

*Shakes head* God help us if she becomes VP

I watched some excerpts about "Putin raising his head" and overflying Alaska just made me shake my head. When was the last time Russia overflew Alaska, and as the Governor of Alaska, what did she do about it, call out the Guard?

And the assertion that "foreign countries" are our neighbors" so I have foreign policy experience. If she says it, we'll believe? And she is still saying it? ;) Guess everyone in the state of Alaska, along with Washington, Oregon, California, etc, etc, not to mention all those states bordering Canada and the Atlantic Coast states have a solid background in foreign relations. :smiley24:

The whole Palin for VP was such a questionable decision, I have to question McCain's ability to make responsible decisions. Even George Will (the conservative) has voiced his opinion that she is not qualified to be Vice President.

but Obama has more experience in this as a junior senator than she does?
;)

Senator Barack Obama is on the Senate Committees for Foreign Relations; Homeland Security; Veterans Affairs; Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. He's gone on three major trips overseas as part of an official Senate delegation, meeting with U.S. generals, and/or foreign leaders.

He and Senator Lugar travelled to the former Soviet states to inspect the destruction of WMDs; he traveled to Iraq and met with U.S. generals, and also toured Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, Palestinian territories; he visited various African countries, including Kenya (his father's homeland).

Do you know what he has done to help secure "loose nukes" in European countries? You know, the ones that could end up in the hands of terrorists?

Yeah, a hell of a lot more foreign policy experience than Caribou Barbie does.

Obama been in politics since 1997. He's been an achiever his entire life. It's completely obvious he's a smart person. And you really have no issues with Palin? There is a group of very qualified Republican people who could serve as VP. You don't question why Palin was picked in the slightest? :)

i absolutely do
you know i hate both parties equally :D

but i'm a total achiever.
that doesn't make me qualified to be the leader of the 'free' world.

i whole heartedly agree that there are many republicans who are better qualified
erm...ron paul much? :D

You conveniently overlooked "he's been in politics since 1997." He strikes me as someone who is talented, knowledgeable, a people person, knows how to solve problems. I think you are over relying on this partisan generated "lack of experience" excuse as an excuse not to vote for him.

I like Ron Paul. :)

Does Obama Have Enough Experience?.

Looking at the 19 presidents since 1900, three of the greatest were among those with the fewest years in electoral politics. TEDDY ROOSEVELT had been a governor for two years and vice president for six months; WOODROW WILSON, a governor for just two years; and FRANLLIN ROOSEVELT, a governor for four years. None ever served in Congress.

i've been overseas a couple times too

i don't buy the whole WMD story either. isn't that what bushy said about iraq? and that opens a whole nother can o worms. why can we have wmd's and no one else is allowed? we're like the bully on the school yard.

did you know that in kenya he met his half brother. his half brother was homeless. they chatted and barack went back home to his dirty land deals in chitown, leaving his half brother homeless. if he can walk away from blood, what's he gonna do for me?

he's no saint. far from it.

Ok, so you say he is as crooked as the rest. What are ya gonna do, vote for one of the other crooked ones? ;)

* shady land deals- he bought some land from a political operative. I read this article and it did not alarm me.
* shady advisors- ?
* shady religious leaders- Now what does Sarah Palin's Minister (The Witch Hunter) have to do with Obama? :)

thought I would highlight that for you. I see a pattern. Governors are more electable as president for a reason. because they have led. congressmen don't get elected because they lack in having led anything.

and two of those presidents sucked. there is a pattern there also which if you were consistent would condemn them as they too got us into what many at the time considered unnecessary wars. not that a die hard democrat like you would ever see it. :24:

Allen, I have no problem giving Obama a chance. You on the other hand have watched two terms of disastrous Republican leadership from a former Texas governor and you want some more from a guy who has been touting deregulation for all of his political life, with us in the middle of a financial crisis precipitated by lax regulation. It's you're right to bend over and ask for more. ;)

I don't see McCain being the clone he is envisioned to be. Take away his war stance and he is to the left of Bush. And Bush is to the left of being conservative. With Obama you have a left wing socialist. His belief is that the government can solve anything. Trouble is there is 200+ years of evidence to the opposite.

No more Palin interviews with the media. Republican problem #159 solved! :D

If the last 2 terms had been presided over by a Democrat President, you'd be one of the ones in here saying "SEE, DISASTER!" You, Mulder, Strauss all try your best to tell us why Democratic rule would be the disaster. Your too late, the disaster has all ready been wrought by the Republican Party. I'm willing to give another party a chance, a party who is more concerned with working class people, than the rich folks, you know the "have" and "have-mores", the GOP base.

Its my opinion the ONLY reason youd EVER pick someone as dumb as her to be the VP is to get the feminist vote. Obama already is going to have a larger majority vote since he is black. I wish people wouldnt be as narrow-minded as voting for people due to sex or race, because HOW CAN YOU LOSE IN A DEBATE TO KAITE COURIC ROFLOOOOL. THATS TERRIBLE :(

well that is why you are here and not a political adviser. she was not picked to just pick up feminist votes. if that was the case she would not be pro life. she was chosen because she is a right wing conservative and the base of the far right love that kind.

she did not debate Couric. She was set up. anybody can get subjected to that stuff and get caught off guard. the question is why the press has not done that to Obama or Biden?

you have no clue if you think this woman is a dummy. You may not like her style but she is no dummy. You probably are looking at the next senator from Alaska and the GOP candidate for president in 2012

and how is it the Obama is going to get more votes because he is black. that makes no sense at all
