Both of 'em are online classes... and yeah, I failed two online classes because I had the wrong dates for my finals written down.

In order to fix my GPA, I have to re-take all of these classes... none of which are actually going to count towards actually getting my degree

Intro to Psychology
Intro to Sociology
Cultural Anthropology
Spanish 2 (I just flat failed that class 10 years ago because the teacher was a bitch and I didn't want to go anymore)
Music Appreciation

Then I also have to retake Intermediate Algebra, English 1, and a computer class that I failed cause I stopped going... but that one counts towards my Marketing Certificate. Jesus, I wish I hadn't have been such an idiot.

What would be better, taking the severance or trying to make something of it?

The last person that tried to fight it with this company didn't take the severance and tried to pursue a lawsuit... she had even more of a wrongful termination claim than I did because the business was working alright, and she's was replaced by a man. She fought for a year, and walked away with nothing but legal fees and the satisfaction that the parent company had to pay their outside council a lot of money.

On other other hand, I still may be able to pursue legal avenues anyway... because I believe that it's illegal in California to hold severance pay as a ransom in order to remove your legal rights. My dad is having his company's lawyers examine it next week. But I elected to just take the proverbial bird in the hand right now, because it'll get me through for a little while financially.

Looks like I've got a phone interview on Thursday.

It's a position that I was contacted about a month and a half ago, and then was told that they were gonna hire someone else. But, I just got an e-mail from the recruiter telling me that they wanted to have a phone interview with me. Here's to hoping... especially since the recruiter told me that the salary I was making is a good $5-10k less than what their minimum range to hire someone was.
