There are over 20 million illegal immigrants in the United States, how much do you think they cost the tx payers every year? Simple question, should I have to take money away from my family to pay for someone who is here illegally to get healthcare? Why should I be forced to buy state healthcare? Do you really want the government in charge of your health? Trust me I have been active duty military and the reserves, and in no way do you want the government responsible for your health. Do you see what they deem acceptable in the military? Food, Shots? standards? Kinda takes away from the freedom thing huh?

Illegal immigrants aren't entitled to healthcare, not even under Obamacare: http://www.factcheck.org/2009/09/obamas-health-care-speech/

In the UK and Spain, the government do not decide anything about the healthcare given, they just proved the funding. The healthcare is run by doctors.

I agree with regulations, over site and slight government involvement, but in essence every American should be free to protect, feed, and take care of themselves anyway that they feel fit. We have become a dependent society, and that is not what this country is supposed to be about, it is supposed to be about freedom.

That's all well and good but what about those unable to protect, feed and take care of themselves or their families?

So would you prefer that hospitals refuse life saving care to those who cannot afford to pay?

You need to be able to answer that question before we can move onto the issue of how to pay for it.

I do not want to see anyone needlessly suffer, and I do not anyone to not have the ability to get treatment, but we have a very flawed system that could quite possibly bankrupt the country. Why should someone not have to pay and the bill is left for hard working Americans? What makes someone think that they do not have to pay for something that every other American works or pays for? If every penny out of my taxes was itemized and accounted for, why should I have to pay one penny to help anyone else. Trust me I am not against charity, I am very charitable, I am not against helping people, but the solution is self responsibility and accountability. Please tell me beside just helping to help, why I should have to give anything to anyone, by law?

medicaid?

Amongst others...

My brother and sister in law have had Medi-Cal practically since they got married five years ago. They made some bad decisions in regards to school and work, and got pregnant almost immediately after getting married. My brother has been working odd jobs, teaching piano, viola, and guitar, and waiting tables over the years while he finished school (just got his degree last week). They've had foodstamps/EBT, Medi-Cal, and some other benefits. So I know that there are systems in place, and that they work.

Interesting. So those are being paid for still?

So illegal immigrants get turned away at hospitals and clinics?

This is exactly along the lines of my point, you were here legally, you have valid health insurance, and yet you are forced to pay. An illegal immigrant with the same problem could have walked into the same place and paid nothing. Is that fair?

well i assume it is becasue i could pay and an illegal could not, on the assumption they dont have access to credit

Does everyone not have the same chance, in America?
you mean the same employment opportunites? according to law i think so, but you are asking the wrong person, never having lived stateside i could not start to guess about equal oportunities, i think it would be naive of me to assume everyone is equally treated

You are wrong here. An illegal immigrant would not have gotten this for free.
If you can't pay, you can't get the service unless it's life saving.

So an illegal immigrant can't go to the doctors office for swimmers ear and get a prescription without paying. And if you really think it works that way, you have been fed a line of bullcrap.

Then that's the angle they should be working from,
I'm giving you my opinion, not theirs. :D
This is pure political posturing, nothing more. Repubs gave objecting a little lip service for the first couple of weeks, then the conversation suddenly shifted from whether we should have a national system to what kind we should have. Even now the call is for "repeal and replace."

The camel's nose is under the tent now.

from the article...

:24: :24: and they expect us to take them seriously when they put out grade school crap like this?

"Obama-care: A budget-busting, job-killing health care law"-
They are fu*king bastards and a sizable portion of the populace are morons.
