Your definition of "popular" doesn't sound very fun to me.

I like the environment here. I know everyone's names, I can ask how their day went and actually have an inkling of what they're talking about. I've made good friends, I know their kids names, spouse's names. It's a close-knit group, and I like it like that.

having more people doesn't mean you lose contact with the friends you've already made. o__O
