You're welcome.

and trust me Eridanus, beach >>>>>> snow.

I about got hit Tuesday night because of the ice and snow on the drive.

Do you ever almost have someone slide into your car on the beach? Yeah. Beach > snow.

Ouch! I have to say I wouldn't even know how to drive in ice and snow.

Snow has an appeal because it is something I have never experienced before, whereas the beach is an everyday thing.

I definitely encourage you to sometime in your life go somewhere and experience the cold and snow, but I'll tell you once you get used to it you'll find that it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Sure, the day after it snows when the sky is perfectly clear and the snow covered grass is gleaming from the sunlight, it's very pretty. But that's the extent of my liking snow.

Driving in it, especially after the first snowfall of the year is the most dangerous time of year. People aren't used to it yet, and they drive like complete tools. They still speed, they still tailgate, they still take turns too fast.

Then after the roads are salted/sanded down and cleared, you have the danger of sliding on the salt/sand. I did that on the way home from work. Hit a big pile of salt and slid 5ish feet over the pile of salt until I hit the concrete again.

Read this for the nonsense I had to go through about 4 days ago.

I would much rather be able to wander off to the beach in nothing but swim trunks and not be cold all the time. My knees hurt, constantly all winter. They wouldn't be hurting if I was sitting on the beach with sunblock, sunglasses and a 6 pack of ice cold corona just chillen out.

:)

After reading about your driving experience (15 feet in 5 mins, wow!), I can definitely say driving in snow holds no appeal whatsoever, but the general appeal is still there...just to know what snow feels and truly looks like without having to take someone's word for it.

Everytime I've been fortunate enough to travel overseas it's been during the northern hemisphere's warmer seasons and therefore missed the opportunity to see snow.

I would also love to experience a white Christmas. :)

I live two streets from the beach. ;p

dude...james. You ever been to Houston? or south of the equator even? because let me tell YOU. The heat isn't all it's cracked up to be either. Especially not here. You go outside for less than a minute and you are soaked in sweat. We have probably the worst humidity in the country here, partially due to the ocean, but a lot also having to do with all the hundreds of bayous we have here, not to mention the houston ship channel. UGH humidity sucks. Especially for girls with frizzy hair tendencies!

Yes, I have been to alabama. and it does get humid here in the summers as well. I know what it's like to be soaking wet just standing outside in 100+ degree heat. I like it. Because i'm not shivering my ass off and 100+ degree heat doesn't hinder my being able to make a turn without sliding all over the fucking road because of ice.

Humidity? I could care less about humidity. Bring it on. Ice water works wonders.

Could you deal with trying to brake and sliding past your street? I did that shit tonight on my way to my brothers. Can you deal with -xx temperatures day in and day out, along with 30 mph winds? I hate it. Cold sucks. My knees crack and shit, i get headaches and I get so tense from shivering to hell and back.

Heat? Humidity? ... YES PLEASE. I would kill for it to be in the 30s right now. I'd be outside in a Tshirt in 32 degree weather.

I don't know about that. Florida has bad humidity too. But I'll take it any day over snow.

Werd.
