I just realized that I traveled around 60,000 kms for work so far this year....that's about 1.5 times around the world and all I've done is go back and forth to work.

wow, that's a lotta miles there kiddo!!!!!!

One tip I received from a professor I respected in college... treat job hunting as a full-time job. Wake up in the morning, shower + get dressed, turn on the computer and start looking for a job. Don't play games / chat on forums / half-ass looking - but treat the search as if it's what you're getting paid to do each day.

ALSO: use contacts to help you out, social networking aside, the people you know could help you in ways that would benefit you the most.

Good advice, I will keep it in mind and a friend of mine has recommended me for the apprenticeship hes doing so hopefully I can get into that.

Absolutely. And always have vision, in other words, don't always look at your first job as the only position you'll hold. Too many times college grads expect too much upfront.

Gainful employment....THAT is a great position at any company
