Every other job you have to pay taxes out of, I fail to see why prostitution should be a special, exempt case.

This is why I find it hard to see why the're so opposed to legalising prostitution and drugs, I really dont see it's their place to be my moral guardian and it would certainly help ease the financial burden they have.

well if abortion is legal because women have the right to do what they want their bodies than I don't see why prostitution should be illegal, it's always going to happen whether its legal or not but atleast if it were legal it could be regulated and made safer

Prostitution... Should it be legal?

I just watched a movie last night that was based on a true story about a massage therapy business in Texas that was a little more than just giving massages. They got busted and didn't do much time because they gave up their clients names. Don't know what happened to the clients though.

So as a woman I believe that we have the right to do whatever we want with out bodies. I think that in Nevada or just outside the limits of Las Vegas there is some form of it that's legal.

So what do you all think? Should prostitution be legal? And why is it illegal?!?!?

I think they should allow it, just have some rules they need to follow to keep diseases/pregnancies under control.

There are plenty of male secretaries out there and even plenty of female mechanics. Prostitution would include men as well...

Then you should probably train yourself to think how most do in the real world today. There are plenty female mechanics and male secretaries. This isn't the old world where certain sex hold certain jobs.

That's like punishing the drug addict and not the drug pusher. I think most people see it the opposite way.

not at all - most prostitutes are victims - the men who use them aren't, they have a choice. Prostitution goes hand in hand with drug addiction. The prostitutes need protecting from their lifestyle, their customers don't.
