Blackburn will go down tonight if they fail to beat Wigan. Even if they beat Wigan they're unlikely to stay up as they'd need to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and hope Stoke beat Bolton. Wigan meanwhile will be safe if they win.

i am wondering what is the best scenario for utd, meaning what needs to happen to ensure qpr are not safe before they play city, i still think a hungry qpr team with great performances from zamorra and barton can upset city

Regardless of what happens tonight QPR aren't safe, and have something like a 6 goal advantage over Blackburn so it's unlikely they'd go down at the expense of Blackburn. They know they'll need something on the final day, or at least hope Stoke beat Bolton. Whether that's enough to get something at City, I'm not sure.

Just realised it's the last Monday Night Football of the season tonight. I'm going to miss it over the summer, Gary Neville's took punditry to a whole new level this season, not many would have predicted that at season's start.

In one fell swoop Blackburn go down and Wigan stay up. Wigan with a 1-0 win, deserved to win overall. Blackburn didn't show nearly enough urgency on the night. Overall though Blackburn deserved to go down, and with the recent good performance, you'd have to say Wigan deserve to stay up.

Liverpool beat Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield. Liverpool created many chances and should have got more, they even found time to miss a penalty. Any advocates for John Terry going to the Euro's should watch this match. Andy Carroll raped him sideways and Suarez ate him alive, I daren't think what Bayern Munich will do to him. The result means Chelsea can no longer finish in the top 4 and Liverpool could still finish above Everton.

he's playing in the final now?:ninja

Heh, forgot about that. Better for Chelsea then that he doesn't.

But no, he shouldn't go to the Euro's, he way past it now. If people say Ferdinand shouldn't (which I'm not necessarily an advocate of) then Terry certainly shouldn't. Not just based on that performance, but over the course of the season.

To be fair, Chelsea did rest quite a few of the key players but Terry and Ivan were SHIT. Terry was SMART to not trip Hendo up, even though it would of stopped the goal as I know we wouldn't of scored from the free-kick or follow up but saving himself for the final game was good. Ivan should of scored but I think it wasn't much of a penalty and it was a reliefe (for karma) that Downing didn't score nor did Carroll.

Overall the result can't be seen as anything as there was no depth with Chelsea and Turnball didn't have much defence but take nothing away with Liverpool, plus it was good to see Sterling get another start from the bench and would love to see more of him from next season.

I can see City winning the Title. I know QPR need something (well, only if Bolton win at Stoke) but I don't see them getting it, they have an awful away record. All we can do is win and at least finish level on points, and if the miracle happens, yay. If not, so be it. But the Champions League place battle is good too. Arsenal and Spurs would both guarantee them with wins over West Brom away and Fulham at home, whereas Newcastle have to win at Everton and hope either of those two slips up. For some odd reason, I can see a slip up from all 3 today, which would be funny.

But anyway, I hope Bolton go down, horrible little club who employ Kevin Davies and Coyle's a scruffy twat.

City to draw, United to lose. Bolton go down and dramatic end of the day. Though, if I was a City fan, I wouldn't be too bothered by the results of today because it's the best season they've ever had and being 2 away from the title will want to give them more to spur on for next season but a title win would be epic at the same time.
