We got top of the league after a 2-0 home win over West Brom (two Rooney goals) coupled with a City loss at Swansea. City fail their first tougher game of the run in. A wonderful day for us.

We were slightly guilty of trying to walk the ball in when it was 2-0 but the build up play between the likes of Pogba, Young, Welbeck and Rooney was just drool (1).gif

Yeah we're a point clear. Should make it 4 next week with a win at Wolves and then City host Chelsea, who are as unpredictable as a schizophrenic

One of the most amazing days as a Swansea fan. My mother and brother were there, sadly, I had to get up at 6AM to watch it on a laptop, but it doesn't matter. According to my brother if we get a win against Fulham next week we're safe for the season.

Twitter was great yesterday all the Swans on there were buzzing after the win. Good banter from the Utd fans after we "helped them out" I reminded them not to get too friendly just yet, as we still have to play each other! A shock loss for the two Mancs would even it out again! Hah, imagine that!

Arsenal vs newcastle in a bit, I'd take a draw, keep getting points on the board.

I think Arsenal will win narrowly, they're pretty strong at home and have good momentum. If they do win then I think that's another team Arsenal will have knocked out of top 4 contention.

Swansea had 72% possession in the first half yesterday Untitled-2copy-2.png

I read something this morning actually that said Man Citys two lowest % of possession in all games this season was the two games they played against Swansea. If that makes any sense? I didn't know the final number was 72% though, thanks! Not too bad at all!!

2 goals within seconds of each other.

Poor work by Vermaelan let in Ben Arfa to use some skill and a powerful shot to beat Scezny at his near post.
Straight away Walcott goes down the right and plays a ball into Van Persie who displays some of the sublimest skill ever to drop off his marker and lay the ball off onto his left foot. You can guess what happened once the ball was there.

Final number was about 55% I think, but Swansea do have good possession stats this season, I think their average is 56%, and they had 67% at Liverpool this season which is very impressive. And yeah, Swansea had 58% in the match with City in August. Sorry, I'm a stats nerd lol/

This game's been fun to watch thus far, Arsenal have been the bestter side and passed the ball around well. The defence looked suspect for the goal though, especially Gibbs and Sir Chesney.

I don't know how they work out possession. There must be a margin of error.

2-1 to Arsenal. Despite the lateness of the goal Arsenal deserved to win, a lot more chances and more possession. Newcastle's top 4 chances pretty much end with that but they may make top five. Arsenal go a point behind Spurs.

Not sure what all that was about at the end.

But good victory, could, and perhaps should have been 4-1; with VP, Rosicky and Gervinho all missing great chances.

I thought it was highly unusual to see two Dutchmen kicking off over something and nothing actually :shock

There's nothing better in football than to win a match late on, we've done it so many times and the feeling you get from being resigned to a point to suddenly going to winning the game, it's a huge lift.

It would mean so much to the Arsenal fans to overtake spurs, the season would be saved
