Yesterday's action.
Well Chelsea were shit, especially defensively. Everton played well, harried them all over the park, never let them have a kick, but really defending like that wouldn't be acceptable on a Sunday league pitch. David Luiz is without doubt the worst defender in the Premier League. It genuinely baffles me how Chelsea can keep playing him. And he leaves Cahill on the bench, makes me think maybe it isn't a case of Villas Boas signing him. But truly I think he'll be gone soon, and he'll certainly be sacked if they fail to make top 4 (which looks not unlikely).
Arsenal did well to win at Sunderland, unfortunate goal they conceded but Sunderland are a tough side to play against at home and O'Neill has got them playing. Henry with a nice goal to end his career in the Premier League, I don't think he's done his reputation any harm in truth.
Tottenham and Newcastle was a decent game to watch despite the hammering because there were plenty of chances. Adebayor and Saha looked good as a partnership. Bale was a little bit quiet. Harry would be insane for me to leave Spurs. He's almost certainly in the Champions League next season, he has a very good side who are Title contenders this season.
Yakubu might just keep Blackburn up, he'll always score goals for them anyway. Swansea and Norwich was a really good game to watch, two teams who play football well and I hope they stay up. Bolton fucked up but it was a good essential win for Wigan. I think Tony Pulis has a point with the tackle from Pogbregniak in the Fulham-Stoke game but just lately he's coming across as a bit of a whiner and it's doing him no favours. Dempsey did well again.
