Pre-employment drug screening

Office depot. Something to give me some cash while im in college.
I was actually impressed on how professional they like to be when they told me about the job requirements.

Edit : and yeah some places in the US is rarer than others to have a drug screen, and in Canada its almost unheard of.
I guess my county might be a bit anal about it, meth capital a few years back.

I honestly don't know a single person over the age of 18 from my hometown that doesn't at least smoke pot, and many that do hard drugs, the American people aren't so uptight about it, it's the government.
 
Sorry, could have worded it better, your government is what I mean. Lets face it, there are legal drugs which are more of a problem (alcohol for example) and in my experience, there's more people who can control their drug use so that they can perform a job than people who do drugs who cant. Stopping people who use drugs from getting work is just going to cause more problems, imo.

I agree. The government could make massive amounts of money by legalizing and taxing drugs too, instead they have it outlawed and the money ends up in the hands of violent criminals :dunno

Jesus, their stores over here (ASDA) will take just about anyone as long as you can stand around scratching your arsehole and say "I don't know" to any request a customer might have. :willy_nilly: I've even asked for vinegar there before and was handed a pack of budget nappies, I kid you not! :willy_nilly:
 
honestly of one place that doesnt do a pre-employment drug screen over here, its so common you are shocked if you dont have to do one. Its just part of getting a job. Even the temp agencies have you do one in some cases before they even try to match youwith a job.

Tom just because you know someone that works in the lab doesnt mean that you are going to pass if youre dirty, that person would be risking their job if they altered someones results like that.
