I'm glad you're clear in your own mind.

Personally, I lost all respect for anything you had to say when you started being childish in this "debate" with your name calling and USING

LARGE

LETTERS

That told me more about the worthiness of trying to have a debate with you than anything else
Its called emphasizing important information. But if you want to discard someone's argument over things such as that i'm POSITIVE that you'll do so!

I'm not going in circles, I'm going in clear lines of progression. This is basic stuff.

Then can you define what skepticism is then? IN your own words.

I already did... but apparently you weren't listening.

I'll be generous and quote it for you:

"I would be being skeptical, if I didn't already know the sky was blue, and couldn't see if for myself, and didn't believe that person when they said it was green."

That is not a definition.

It's really not. It's just stomping your feet like a child.
Using capitals to make an important point be emphasized more isn't childish. If i was a child in mind I wouldn't be where I am now.

It's her example. Not one from a book!

Where you are?

On an internet board debating childishly with two people that you've already said you believe to have incorrect opinions and viewpoints!

Yay you!

I'm used to providing financial advise to knights of the realm and lords.

I hate talking about that.....the only people that use their education or status to try and prove their opinions on all matters to be more significant than others are really not people that I pay a lot of credence to.

It's noticeable that those people, the people that truly ARE succesful in life, NEVER feel the need to mention it

In here all you are is another boarder like all of us!

I didn't say that to prove what I am saying is true or not

I'm saying it to counter the point of you accusing me of being "childish". Men of childish character do not get where I am now.

You were being childish, in my opinion, you think nothing of me, so it really shouldn't matter to you. Clearly it does though!

This has gone far from the original topic....one that I really don't see much point in debating with you any longer

Why do you assume I think nothing of you? If I did I wouldn't be talking to you in the first place.

No offense intended, just a critique. There are more than two answers for any poll in any subject worth debating. Here are 5 easy answers for any poll: 1) yes 2) no 3) maybe 4) I don't know 5) other.

After reading through this thread..... I am now a bit confused more than anything.

I was going to say that I try for positive thinking as often as I can. Not to say that some days I find myself thinking the worst can happen just to save myself from further pain or anguish or turmoil.

So, I'd say 95% positive thinking, 4% skepticism, and 1% totally confused. (And that all can happen at the same time on a daily basis.)

I am a big time skeptic

My job made me into one. I was not like that until my early 20's

I don't see what is wrong with being skeptical and why one can not have a positive nature and still be skeptical

On human nature I am fairly skeptical.
On what the future holds for me and my family I am fairly positive.

Everything else is a coin toss.;)
