Ok, so we are nearly at the finishing line!

Round 7 - Happiness.

Rules

Quite simple really:

• minimal photoshopping as per previous rounds
• the picture must exude happiness - e.g. be representing something or someone that is happy or appears to be in a state of happiness
• picture can contain animals or people, but arranging elements (e.g. fruit) to represent a smile - such pictures won't be accepted.

I think that covers the rules for now. If you have any questions - please do ask away in this thread. If you have a picture you want to submit, please send me a link or the picture via PM. If you have any questions about a picture you want to submit - again, via PM please.

I'll accept entries provisionally for a week - ending 10pm, Saturday 14th July BST. I've said provisionally because if you are finding it hard to think/find/take a picture then I will allow extra time.

Due to a photograph being rejected - I will clarify the rules above.

The theme is not about objects or items that make you happy or cause happiness but about actual or representations of happiness in people or animals. They (actual or representations) must be in the picture.

So far one successful entry.

i only hope that seeing as its the last round votes will be based on the picture and not on who the voter knows

I personally think that we have no way of knowing the reasons a person votes for a particular photograph. I know that I personally have vote for purpledove's photographs a large portion of the rounds. I had no way of knowing they were her photographs (except for the 1 round I hosted, and I can't remember if I voted for her photo that round). I just vote for the photograph I like the most...and I give others the benefit of the doubt and assume they do the same.

I have no idea who even enters except for the few comments that get made of people going to find photos to enter, even then unless they say I have submitted, I don't know that they have. So I vote on the picture, not the photographer.

Most of the votes (aside from one round) were public so you could see who voted for which picture. From round 1 onwards, most (not all) entrants also revealed their pictures in the various threads so one could see whose picture was whose.

With those two things, it's not hard to work out a pattern of voting.

Anyway, back on topic - are you going to enter this round?
