Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

The problem with the left is they are moving too far to the left, while I think the right is moving a little ccloser to center.

I disagree, the left is moving to the center. Why do you think Bill Clinton hit the ball out of the park despite the wails of desperation from the right? If they don't move towards the center, they won't remain in office. But I'll remind you the center is not the far right either. Most of the hard core conservatives in this forum are extremely right. They have no future either.

The core of this up and coming cabinet will be the furthest left we have had, I say it will put the Carter administration to shame.

The ideology of Clinton being the great white Dem. hope is long gone;)

Who, what have you been reading that leads you to this gloom and doom?

Examining your signature- So the Republic is in pieces, it's dead? Your not the first to express that sentiment in this forum. Even when Shrub was in charge I did not go to that extreme. :smiley24:

Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

Ok Mulder...7 years ago i was as you say "the goverment needs to take care of me job"....i had no work, 2 young children...my husband had left me with a house and debts, i had no other way of coping......Without goverment help i would have been homeless..my children taken into care and tax payers would still be paying for there up bringing:ninja

I have a'levels, gsces and good job experience....none of this was much help to me then,.
So your saying thats my fault?...and i needed to get of my ass n stop watching oprah?Instead of trying to sort my fucked up life out..my traumatized children, who saw far much more than any child should have to witness...And find a way to work as well as raise my kids??

I don't know what that has to do with my statement. I have no problem at all and in fact wholly support a social safety net for situations like yours but not permanently. Your situation sucks, but yes--you needed (or need) to work as well as raise your children. Millions of women both single and married work as well as raise their children. Is it your position that every single mother should be supported by the government?

Wow you really are very shallow minded......But fair enough. I understand your view and the fact that why should you pay for others...:thumbup
But you really should stop labeling people mulder...we arent all the same....;) Try opening that one eye of yours sometimes....:thumbup

I don't know why you say I am shallow--I simply believe that able bodied people who are able to work should work. How is that shallow and how did I label anyone?

Re: The Conservatives In Exile Club

Costs me nothing, and it covers all major problems, 90% dental & vision, etc. It's sufficient for everything I've dealt with thus far.

I guess I don't believe you about it costing nothing. I know people working for small companies and to buy into health insurance is $600+ per month except they can't afford it and still pay their rent, groceries, put gas in their cars and every day living expenses. Who provides your health insurance?

Ok, Spike, answer her question first. :)

The 90% his plan supposedly covers is not without it's limits. I work for a large corporation. I have what is considered pretty good Blue Cross/Blue Shield and I'm paying 20% of medical expenses. Back in the good ole days, we had a $10 copay that eventually went up $18 before the new system kicked in.
