I'm an organ donor. I'm also in the bone marrow registry. I've had several relatives lose their battle to Leukemia and one who fights every day of her life to beat it. If there's anything I can give to help somebody who needs it while I'm alive, I'll give it and they can most certainly take whatever they want once I'm dead. It's very difficult for me to wish for a marrow match for my cousin or a kidney for my uncle if I'm not willing to give them myself if at all possible. So, I'm totally into the organ/blood/marrow donation thing.

FYI for anybody who is interested in joining the bone marrow registry, you can do it here: Join the Registry - Be The Match Bone Marrow Registry

We sign up when we get our license. So instead of getting a separate card it's stated right on my drivers license I want to be an organ donor.
I agree that I won't be needing the organs so if someone else could really use em then have at em.

On my license it says I am an organ donor. I won't need them when I am dead and I truly hope that I get to help someone live after I have passed away.

My son called before leaving last fall to tell me I had medical power of attorney because he didn't want his wife having to make a decision like that - but that if anything he had left could save a life(should the unlikely occur), I was going to be making the call.
Like I hadn't already quit sleeping 3 weeks earlier when he told me he was going.:wtf:
