it would be better for the other charges to stick! talk to her therapist and she what she thinks about telling her. and dna takes at least 4-6 weeks

Wow, just wow... I'm so glad they may have him. I'm glad Soleil is healing. Good to know jail is jail all over this world. Scum like this get special attention from the other inmates who understand just how wrong that is.

Fuzzwifer --- therapy continues to help us both. Both still have nightmares and still share a bed most nights. You learn interesting things in this kind of situation. For instance, I didn't know that toileting often becomes problematic but it does. It's almost as if we are back in toilet training again. Frustrating but not her fault. Again though therapy helps. (As does wine once she's asleep I must say)

An arrest has been made.

Long story short --- police chatted with Carpenter, found him suspicious and generally were unsatisfied with his answers. Something he told them gave them grounds for a search warrant which turned up child porn on his computer and two pairs of children's underpants. I wasn't sure if either belonged to Soleil so for now he's arrested only on the child porn charge, but further investigation into the rest is happening.

I'm so thankful. So many people never get justice. Looks like Soleil might!

I hope the fucker pays!

I would wait to tell her too, if you tell her that he is going to or might be going to jail and he doesn't, it might damage her trust in you, which is something you need to build up as much as possible.

I know it's a terrible thing to think about...but he might get away. Don't let your daughter feel a let-down like that until she is stronger!

Now that that's out of the way, Sophie, I may not know you or Soleil in real life, but as a Child Psychology trainee and a part time babysitter, I can feel the pain you feel for Soleil. I know what the stress is like, and I know the relief that comes when everything (or mostly everything) is better.

Hold on.

Oh and Soleil, if you ever read this, sweetie, when you're older you'll understand a guy's biggest weakness. In the event that you are attacked again, kick the guy in his area.

They can damade (not destroy) the trust she has. And right now soleil wants to believe that he is locked up so badly that she will probably think that he is, and that her mom told her that he was. And if he get's away with it, it is probably something she can't handle knowing right this moment.

She has been moved to a new neighborhood and she is being home schooled, she probably feels about as safe as she can, while she would feel safer knowing he is in prison, she probably feels safe enough. I would suspect that she is afraid of all males, not just the one that did it to her. And locking up the one wont take away the fear she has in all the others, and it could still end up damaging her trust in her mom.

Remember 6-year-olds think differently then adults.

Anyways, I'm not expert I would ask the psychiatrist if it is a good idea to tell her.
