They jumped cuz of a tax and now they are adding another tax. It used to be about $23 for a carton now it's $43 and now it will be $10 more than that.

One could say it's UnConstitutional, but everything anymore is UnConstitutional it seems..... Why don't they increase tax on booze? Cigars? Nope. Just cigs.

I remember when my lunch $$ would buy a pack w/change left over. Probably about .60c pk.... About 1977.. The dude at the convenience store sold em to us. We were in Jr High. I don't think they'd chance it now? That's a good thing.

hehehehehehehe..... I just saw this now.. funny...

I didn't lose any weight this week. I did indulge in a hot fudge sundae on Sunday at lunch w/PBBB. She got caramel. I also brought home treats for the men.

What I noticed Monday (test day:107) was that I was craving carbs all day long and indulged that a bit w/waffles (little syrup) and french bread and ended up Monday night with an evening blood sugar of 131. Highest in weeks. So, I have new found respect for jacking my body up on sugar (sundae) cuz it's addicted self hounded me all the next day for MORE!!! Give Me MORE Please!!! I remember these levels!! Let's go back.....

Good thing is I haven't craved anything all week. I'll see what my sugar is tomorrow. But it was definitely noteworthy to me.... MORE, I NEED MORE I Tell you! Give me what's in the bag! I can't read..... (Beggin Strips commercial)

its ok about the non weight loss, at least you didnt gain! interesting about your sugar level though... how many times a day are you testing and around what time of day?

I only have to test twice a week now. I do it Monday and Friday. First thing in the am and 2 hours after dinner.

Tho, Monday I probably consumed a total of 170 carbs... A lot for one day. Plus I didn't do squat for exercise so I expected it to be pretty high. My dr told me to call her if it goes over 150. It never has.

I did just check it for shits & giggles since it's two hours after dinner and its 103. Not too bad... I've had about 90 carbs today..

one day at 130 is not bad at all! besides normal is 80-120 mg/dL.

True, but those carb cravings the next day gave me something to think about. I'll have to stick w/double chocolate frosted donuts from Dunkin. Cravings the next day didn't happen at all w/them. But they're like 30 carbs a piece. I just looked up the sundae (cuz I didn't want to know before) and it's 70carbs for the medium. I got the large.. So that was probably 100.

Donuts dunked in hot fudge might be worth a go:willy_nilly::24::surrender

have you tried the weight watchers candy? its really not that bad and the sugar and carbs are not much if im remembering correctly

No, not yet... I'm not sure if I've even seen it in stores. I've seen their desserts in the freezer section but no candy in the candy aisle.

Perhaps I'll have to look harder. I've seen Glucerna products and Ensure stuff but no WW.... This is poudunkville. But, I'll look closer if you think they're good. I could try the SuperWallyWorld. They might carry them?

I looked at wallyworld and didn't see any WW stuff there... Such is life...

My sugar was 97 this am and I have lost 4 pounds this week (4 is going around - woohoo!). I go for another blood test in July and I bet my #'s are much better........

It's cool. I haven't weighed this since before I got pregnant w/PBBB!!!! Watch, tomorrow all 34 pounds will be back! Thank goodness that can't happen!

Another thing that's cool is from here on out any more weight is really gonna start to show. I don't see the loss that much. But Poopa says he can see it. My mom & sis will be up tomorrow for PBBB's party. They haven't seen me in a while. We'll see if they notice. Poopa's parents haven't seen me in an even longer time. They're coming up in two weeks. We'll see if they notice???

Well, I had been buying cookies. But I got rice krispie treats & oatmeal creme pies & pb cups & hershey bars & a big can of nuts... Your dad is happy once again.... It so freaking sucks that Walmart is cheaper than the grocery store. It just not right...
