Woman, don't look to me cuz I don't have any! Well, a little..... Cut out your soda intake completely. Since 4/15 I have had two glasses of Diet cola. Cut out any sugar you take in your coffee or iced tea. Those are the two biggest things I've done. I'm back to using Spelnda.

Plus I switched to sugar free desserts.. Pudding or Jello.

I can't cut out chocolate completely as I've said in this thread.. I have a square of dark if I'm really craving it or I'll go get a chocolate frosted chocolate donut from Dunkin.

Try writing a food diary. It helped me in the beginning. I don't think I need it now. But, it was very telling over time.

Definitely get yourself checked out Janie. It's important. A few simple changes have made a difference. How big of one, we'll see when I get my blood work back in a week or two..

Thanks Janie.....

Well, it's official. My scale doesn't lie. I went to the Dr this am to discuss my test results and I did indeed weigh close to what I do at home. Ok, the dr's was 4 pounds heavier, but still. I have indeed lost 43 pounds. It's not all in my head! WooHoo!

My A1C level went from 6.5 to 6.1 in these past 3 months. Not too shabby considering I still indulge a bit. I'm not totally sugar-free. Just 90%;)

She is concerned that my DHL Cholesterol is only 32 when it should be at least 40. Probably from smoking. I'm not tackling that until I lose at least 20 more lbs. Tho, w/the price going up I should just say screw it and quit anyways....

My FBS was 102 this morning. Not too bad considering I had two sugar-free pudding snacks last night.. But, I know I still need to exercise:yuk I really should take my nice, neighborlady up on her offer of nightly walks around the block:yuk I should do a lot of things ;)

The only mystery was a moderate amount of blood in my urine. She's not sure why and neither am I. I feel fine that way. She tested again today and there was a trace amount, but I'd already taken my blood pressure & water pills. hmmmmm..... I wonder if it's cuz I take a prescribed water pill everyday? I didn't think of that until now....... She had mentioned smoking and bladder cancer. I'd rather think it's cuz my kidneys have been doing double duty for a few years now... My BP was 131/80. One day I'm hoping to chuck enough weight to get off them completely. I hate taking pills every day. W/the blood, perhaps they're not that great to take??? Off to my search engine to see if I can find some answers...

43lbs! WooHoo!

Thank you Codrus, you are too kind.... Hey are you heading this way today? I have two pairs of your sunglasses here.

Google wasn't much help except to tell me I should see a nephrologist as I may have cysts.... That's nice. I'll get right on that..... Someday.....

Ha! 3 more pounds this week!!!!! I have lost a total of 46 so far...

:nanners::nanners:

20 more would be good. 30 more, even better! I am still amazed at how easy it has been to give up most sugar. Tho, it's been a couple of weeks and I'm ready for a double chocolate donut from Dunkin!

I still need to get my butt moving more.... It's inevitable. :yuk;):24:

Thank you... I guess I should be proud of myself too ;) But it's been too freaking easy. Which is the really strange thing. I didn't expect it all to pretty much melt off... Or, I'd have done it sooner. Funny, I eat more now than I did before. Just not alot of sugar or sodium.

The hardest things have been little stuff. Like remembering not to lick the knife off when I make PBBB a peanut butter & honey sammy. Or, if I make brownies, remembering not to lick the spatula when I'm done. Small stuff like that. I'm still tasting my food as I'm cooking cuz really, I have to. Gotta know if it tastes good. ;)

The biggest thing is I ain't on a 'diet'. I changed my eating habits. If I crave something I eat it. Cuz I know myself enough to know that if I don't, I'll binge on it a week later.

Wow Good for you girl!! I expect youll be posting before and after pics :)

Perhaps when I get to VIP? Very few people know what I look like. I prefer it that way ;)
Cleavage is one thing.....:cheerleader: but picking my face out of a crowd? Nah.

You have a good point tho... I should find a bigger picture and then put the same outfit on and take another one..

I still don't see it as much as I'm hyper-critical of myself. I know I'm smaller cuz my clothes are loose. I keep losing my jammie bottoms if they don't have a tie. I can see it in my face. I notice it w/my hubby:ninja I feel better. Not as grumpy. It's cool.
