It was 107 this am. Not too bad.

Your outfits sound pretty and professional.....

hehehehehehehe.... I got your sister this dress she picked out for 5th grade graduation:

Product: Ruby Rox 7-16 Pindot Sundress

and today I went to payless and found cute zebra print w/pink trim & bow flats to go with. I also picked up a pair of 3in pink pumps for her too. -Her DREAM shoes for the outfit-. She's having fun trying to figure out how to walk in them. She's not clomping too bad. But, she'll wear the flats to the ceremony. I did tell her she could wear the pumps w/the dress out to dinner. Then it's only from the car to the table to the car;)

I'm glad your week went well. So did mine. I lost one more pound and my sugar seems to be hanging in there. WooHoo!

Another thing that's great is I have lost a total of 14 pounds since I was diagnosed almost 3 weeks ago. My sugar was 111 this am and the lowest it's been was Monday morning at 92.

Not too damn bad.....

Why thank you. You lived here? Where?

Tho I have a bone to pick. Big Time. I have this counter book and it has the BMI chart in it. This thing is completely whacked. Before I met my hubby I was 163lbs. I had to puke to get there. This chart says I was overweight then. Overweight? Perhaps I'll dig out a picture and post it cuz I was definitely NOT overweight. That chart needs to be tossed on it's ass & burned.

BMI is antiquated and totally illogical, depending on what era the chart you have is based upon it can show some seriously gross oversimplifications that simply don't work for 80% of the population.

Yeah, back in 98-99 was in the burbs of Orlando: Ocoee.

The 2006 edition of "The Calorie King - Calorie, Fat & Carbohydrate Counter". Which includes 200 fast-food chains & restaurants. It was my dad's.

What really sucks is I do believe that Insurance companies base their rates upon that chart - along w/other info. My next dr visit I should take that picture and show them.

The Orlando area does suck. Heck, the Tampa Bay Area has also gotten massively crowded. That's why I'm so glad we moved north of there. I can fly down the highway and not have a car in front of me instead of sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Tho, we do have 5pm rush hour here but that's cuz some intersections really could use a turn lane since some people don't think to move over as much as possible so someone can get past them. hehehehehehehe..... there's no 'night-life' to speak of, but we're past that anyway. When PBBB grows up she'll just have to drive down to Ybor City.

We'll alot of people put way to much faith in that chart. There are alternatives though to look into. Our gym uses the calipers (which the downfall is you have to believe the person using them actually has a clue what they are doing), and I know at least a few docs in the region do the water weighing thing. When I was looking into this I even ran across a different BMI method that took in a little more than just height for its calc.

A revised chart would be a good thing. Perhaps one day they will modernize? Pardon me if I don't hold my breath.

All already been said but in agreemebnt with

Congrats (thats a fine amount for anyone to lose. you must be very proud)

In time maybe I wouldnt weight myself so often, just because it becomes a negative if you dont shift every day. But right now its fine!!

And yes......ignore the damn BMI

Fitterst guy I ever knew was a rugby player who was 5 foot 11 and 15 stone. A real powerhouse. BMI has him as obese!!

It's insane isn't it?

You're right. There will come a time I'll weigh once a week (probably when I go three days w/out losing anything). But until then - yipeeeeee
