I just setup Sagetv on this thing.
Now I can watch recordings,live tv, and all the movies from my server.
It just keeps getting better.

can i have linux as well as vista on my little laptop? i have intel centrino duo processor with 2G ram and I think a 120G hard drive

yes, you'll just have an option at startup for which you want to use

This thing boots in 1/4 the time it took with Vista.
Pulls .avi and mpg2 video from my server no lag.
Havent tried H264 encoded stuff yet.
Network connection is solid.

ubuntu 9.04 is coded as 'jaunty jackalope' but firefox seems to think 'jackalope' is not a real word...

so i went with jackal.

hmm.

i was talking with some of the other compSci students, and one in particular recommended xubuntu, as it's windowManager||shell thing appears to be less bloated than gnome|kde.

so, i might giver the x_win another shot.

... which reminds me.. i gotta up the top if i don't want to drive around in dew tomorrow morning...
