Whatever... I say unless we're trying to save a species from the brink of extinction. Let it be. Coyotes gotta eat too.

No of course thats understandable. I just hate to see injured animals :(

:homo: Even IF they're just wild animals....when injured- I still feel sorry for them :( and feel they deserve some proper care ;)

here we have the RSPA or SSPCA and they will come out to capture, treat and release any wild animal. Poor thing

:homo: We have those too  especially for National parks. Upon entrance at the gate, information is given out to call the Park/Forest Rangers when wild animals are found to be sick or injured. They come and treat them accordingly :thumbup

It's not like we've done such an amazing job of leaving nature to take it's course that saving one animal will upset a delicate balance  we already disturb natural environments and make animals move aside for our purposes. I don't think it hurts to give a little back and stop some of them suffering.

it is the survival of the fittest in nature, but if an animal needs help it should get it to stop it suffering, thats of course if its found..would be a shame to see it all get infected and the deer die a long agonising death

You want to walk around forests shooting limping animals in the head be my guest

Interesting discussion I guess

Not sure if I would done anything. It got up and moved on so it has some mobility

I would feel bad for it.

But I would caution getting near it to help it without having know how to protect myself. They have some dangerous hooves if they feel threatened

Great pics though Zirc :thumbup

There was nothing I could do for the deer but I left a note for the day crew. One of my co-workers ended up shooting it because its hind leg was pretty badly mangled.

so you'd be happy to see an injured animal suffer?

I don't think it's that, per say. There are a lot more useful things for our money to go into, though. Like education, hospitals, all service men/women, etc. I hate to say it because I love animals, but if I hadn't seen the dear hurt, what would it have effected me any?
