Vip isn't the devil. The devil is the fact that some people took this internet forum way too personally. The didn't spend enough time in the real world. They can't get over petty internet squabbles. I honestly don't believe it was the internet or just one person to blame for the demise of this forum.

My experience with internet message boards and chat rooms is when the cyberspace and real world lines get blurred the trouble starts. I know of many destroyed marriages over meeting someone on-line. I know of more than a few people feeling like they were taken advantage of and several who really were taken advantage of in real life. I am good keeping my real friends and my cyber friends seperate. Gullible people whether male or female are easy prey to those with an agenda. I do wish this board was back like it was 5 years ago but I am convinced that is a pipe dream. Most members here have moved on and made another board their go to board.

People left as they were solicited by a couple prominent members who run another forum...I wont join it.
Whats the point...its like moving from one side of the couch to the other.

People have to have a reason to want to leave. If there was no reason to leave, then it wouldn't matter who "solicited" whom.

People like myself left because they were tired of how they were treated by prominent members of the staff here. Not to mention the gross violations of trust perpetrated by Natasha and Darrell.

I can't believe I'm doing this considering what I always say about people who do this exact thing (say they're leaving but come back and post later).......

BUT...Cod wasn't banned for his avatar. He was banned for his repeated violation of rules regarding that avatar. He was given several warnings first and, instead of playing nice, he chose to push the envelope in an attempt to get banned. He made MANY comments in the week prior about trying to get banned.

Banning Cod was a difficult decision, but he left me no choice. A discussion I'm fairly certain you and I had in private. But I'm good with being the face that's placed on this site's demise. It does not bother me, for the most part, and while I'm sad to see the site go I feel, as I have told V, that it was long overdue.

As of 3 minutes ago the site has reached it's bid request. I hope the new owners can get it back to an active, fun forum like it used to be.

Well hopefully for the new owner's sake, you won't be around when they take over. Because that would make it difficult for them to make it a fun and active place. Just my $0.02.

Old wounds? Nah. I just figured it was finally time to completely speak my mind on a couple of topics. Anyone that knows me knows that I've got no issue being blunt and direct, and saying things that other people might not like.

no-one was solicited by anyone,they left here because most of the people running the place were on a power trip,we all saw it but it was pointless complaining....and most of them,if they weren't 'solicited' as you call it would have stopped posting anyway,i know i would have...i was kicked out of vip for responding to danas bullshit,that was the excuse anyway.the truth was that i wasn't american,and we couldn't have that here could we.....i was even the victim of racism,yes racism.but because the person doing it was military it was acceptable.i know its pointless arguing but look at the egos that were here before you blame certain people

I haven't posted on here for quite some time. Life got in the way, the topics put forth didn't trip my trigger. No problems with the board or it's admins or mods. I have lurked some. I noticed some of those who were here when I first joined are gone.
I have belonged to a number of forums over the years. They seem to have a shelf life. Usually, they rot away from within. Usually, there are some members who don't get along and they perpetuate their dislike for each other until one of two things happens: The first is other members choosing sides and the bickering and fighting goes on and on until everybody throws their hands up and leaves or, folks just quit the board to avoid the daily and hourly fighting. Usually, it's both that happens. Of course, new folks join and it's a natural progression that the "flavor" of the place changes because new personalities are present. Natural progression, I'd say. Somewhere in there, the old momentum is lost and never comes back.
Personally, as I indicated, neither V, Tash, Darrell, or any of the bosses gave me any flack. I had a couple backchannel sessions with members from another site I belonged to, but I told them where I stood and that was that. My intent was to coexist peacefully with them and not mess up this site with the problems from another world.
It is what it is. Best of luck to you, Veronica, I hope your new position works out for you and life is good. Tash, I'm glad you finally got to move to where you wanted to.
