I said you were going to say that...

Way to pay attention to the rest of what I said... good Lord, is it that difficult for you to actually read something? Here, I'll even quote it for you

Your line about how they only voted to give him the authority to go to war is a crock of shit. If they really wanted to stand up against it, then they shouldn't have voted for it at all.

I also called them stupid Democrats seeking cover, but I did not accuse you of not paying attention. :smiley24:

You called them stupid while still excusing them for their votes and laying the blame squarely on Bush and the Republicans.

You do remember the partisan Bush years, (party line votes were are regular occurrence) and what I would argue is an incredibly expensive partisan War?

(I realize you are most likely going to come back and say the Democrats voted for the war, but what they passed was to give Bush the authority to go to war when all other options were exhausted. Stupid Democrats looking for cover, but instead of exhausting all efforts, Bush went right to war telling the U.N inspectors to get out because he did not want to wait.) Publicly Republicans supported this effort unconditionally.
Nice spin

You liberals always bring it back to Bush and war

I will say again you will not find anything even remotely close to this piece of shit that ever passed on a strict party line. Nothing compares in the scope and impact of what this legislation will do.

Ah, no I hold them accountable for being stupid, but if I have to choose between Dems and Reps, Dems are preferable. When it's a senseless, incredibly expensive foreign adventure a lot of you guys in this forum are just fine with spending billions, but push that money towards a social issue and holy shit, the sky is falling.

Hey, it's time for more sweeping generalizations. I've haven't been okay with spending billions on war... if you'd pay attention to anything that I've said, I've called for the opposite. I'm a fucking non-interventionist for Christ sake; we need to pull 90-95% of our troops abroad back home and focus on domestic issues instead of being the world's police force.

But hey, you just keep those partisan blinders on and refuse to accept that possibility of someone who is socially liberal and fiscally conservative, but above all else treats the Constitution as the highest law of the land.

Must be my short attention span overall, but shockingly, I agree! Then we could easily afford the billions on social programs. :p

No doubt. Even the Iraq & Afghanistan wars won't have the destructive impact on our culture that this law will have.
