Obama has committed his second impeachable and criminal bribery in just two weeks time. First he bribed a democrat to not run against Specter in Pennslyvania by promising him he would make him secretary of the navy if he dropped out of the race. That is a felony.

Now he has congressman Jim Matheson at the white house to convince him to change his vote on the healthcare monstrosity and lo and behold, he just coincidently appointed the congressman's brother to the federal bench on the same day as that meeting.

Obama turned down Scott Matheson's request to be appointed to that position back in June. He wasn't good enough then but now that Obama needs another vote he gets the lifetime appointment.

"Whoever solicits or receives … any….thing of value, in consideration of the promise of support or use of influence in obtaining for any person any appointive office or place under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both." -- 18 USC Sec. 211 -- Bribery, Graft and Conflicts of Interest: Acceptance or solicitation to obtain appointive public office

The Anointed Ones flock never will see he bribed people

The whole health care debate has been nothing other than bribes

When the govt does it they call it bargaining or something else.

If we did it we would get our ass thrown in jail

I won't totally disagree with you. The era of the bailout is not good for our economy.
If the bailouts didn't happen Fred you would be in the middle of a full fledged depression that would have brought all but the Fuckowie Tribe in Africa to it's knees. That imo would have been a given regardless of what person was President. He was the unfortunate one to be faced with all the mess created by others.

It is also my opinion that the US wasn't ready for black President and will look for any and all excuses to try and bring him down. If they fail at that at least they'll have billions of excuses why he wasn't a good President.

It amazes me why so many patriotic Americans want to see their President fail. If he fails, and he will as would every other person then you all fail. It's a very deep hole you've dug yourself all for the love of a buck.

Bush started the bail-outs before he left office. I'm not sure we are not in a depression. I know one thing construction has basically ceased outside of government contracts for almost a year. The banks are being real tight fisted with credit now.

I want to see his plans for this country fail because I don't agree with them. More deficit spending isn't good for the country and will lead to further devaluation of the dollar and rampant inflation. This country needs *less* government, not more spending on more government programs. We're poised for what amounts to be a government takeover of 1/6th of our economy, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

As for me, I don't give a shit whether Obama is black, white, red, green, purple, or orange (as it stands, he's not even "black"). What I care about is the fact that he's destroying this country even more than Bush did, and he's doing it at twice the speed. He doesn't give a shit who has to clean up his mess, he just wants to push his pet projects and more government control through as fast as he can.

He's not a good president because he doesn't give a shit about the country as near as I can tell.

I believe you are Fred. The word isn't being used though because of all the panic it would cause.

I know one thing construction has basically ceased outside of government contracts for almost a year.

I am in the " supply to the construction trades " as well Fred. I make countertops and our business has dropped like a lead weight. We used to have two shifts going with over 350 people in both the cabinet and countertop shops. We are down to around 120 today. I have only been with the company for going on 3 years and have seen 20+ year people get laid off with no prospects of being hired back in the near future.

The banks are being real tight fisted with credit now.

Because they claim not to have any which we know is a joke. Fortunately the Canadian gov't didn't allow what happened down south to happen here. You don't have to ask a bank for credit, they just keep pouring it around. My limits in all areas have been going up, Visa, overdraft, LOC etc considerably in the last 1 1/2 years.. probably because I don't use 'em and they want to see me borrow before the rates go up. Silly fools.

What the hell else is he supposed to do. If he allowed the economy to do what you think it should you would have soup lines longer than the dirty 30's. Matter of fact it probably wouldn't take long and you would be in one of those lines along with everyone you know.

The disaster has already happened. How the fuck do you stop a runaway train?

If the bailouts didn't happen we would be well on the way to recovery like most of the rest of the world.

It amazes me that when someone disagrees with a white man it's because of the issues, and when someone disagrees with a black man its because he's black. Ever wonder why they keep reporting that Obama's personally more popular than his policies? I don't remember the two being separated with any previous president. I think bringing his skin color into any discussion of his performance is extremely disrespectful of the man and pays him a supreme disservice.

I don't believe that for one split second nor will I ever.

It amazes me that when someone disagrees with a white man it's because of the issues, and when someone disagrees with a black man its because he's black.

I am as dismayed as you are. Race to me isn't an issue but it sure is to the white Americans I personally know and I do know quite a number of them. Are they the exception or are they the only ones that will voice their opinion in a fashion other than what's politically correct? Now I will say that I doubt they voice that same opinion to their neighbors or friends in the USA because that just wouldn't be right. It might be true to them but how popular would they be for being honest. Better to be a lying hyprocrite than to be honest about your true feelings. Much more gets accomplished that way. ;) I call 'em as I see 'em.

I don't follow your politics quite that close therefore I have no comment.

I think bringing his skin color into any discussion of his performance is extremely disrespectful of the man and pays him a supreme disservice.

See above....

and then....

So you are telling me you don't have a racial problem in the US and everyone was happy to see a Black man elected? I could tell you about a few of my trips to Arkansas, Alabama and a few other southern states that might convince you but I doubt there is any real need for that.

Something to keep in mind Accountable is I view your issues as an outsider and have absolutely no bias whatsoever and stuff that seems normal to most Americans isn't viewed as such by me because it isn't normal in Canada.

It amazes me why so many people think we should support a man who wants to dismantle the very foundations of that which makes America America, simply because we fucked up and elected him President.

No worse that the last guy you elected twice. You guys are running out of excuses.
