I also forgot about Legos. I've stepped on more Legos in my life than I care to remember!! :24:

I loved lego, hours of fun. I loved Duplo too.

It's not really a toy, but I used to like those pretend chocolate dispensers, where you put 2p in and a mini chocolate came out :p hours of fun!

I always wanted one of those but never had one. I loved going to my friends to play cos she had one!

A cheap cassette tape recorder.

Which was not exactly a toy. And, was actually my little brother's.

But, my little brother got this cheapo cassette tape recorder, and he didn't like it. He was extremely disappointed that he did not get a popular toy that he really wanted. He actually cried. When he started to cry my uncle, who was slightly drunk, happened to be holding the tape recorder, and he recorded the whole episode unbeknownst to my other brother and I at the time who sat there laughing at at my little brother for being such a crybaby. After a while, my father sternly yelled from the other room to my little brother to shut up and to be grateful because there were "kids in China who got nothing on Xmas". Or something lame like that.

As soon as my little brother ran off to finish his crying in his bedroom pillow, my uncle said to us "Hey, wanna hear something?"

That 30-second cassette tape recording of my little brother crying became legendary in our memories of childhood. Pretty sure my little brother got a hold of it and destroyed it later. But, it did not matter, my other brother and I could always make him feel bad just by referring to it and that awesome day when he cried like a little baby and our drunk uncle recorded the whole thing!

LOL!!

I got a three story Barbie house with an "elevator" one year. My favorite toy of all time, I think. I remember my parents fighting in the middle of the night to put it up for me, so I think I knew by age 4 there was no Santa :24:

I had the pink barbie car. I used to only like playing with barbie's hair, then cut all their hair off one day and called them "The Baldie Gang" lol My mum wasnt too happy with me!

Bwahahahahaha..the one where you had to pull the string to make the elevator go up??? And Barbie was a good 6 inches or so taller than the elevator??? LMFAO

The 2 that stick out the most in my mind were a purple radio/cassette player that I wanted SO badly even though I knew it was from a super cheap store (Zayres FTW)...it broke w/in 2 months. And a purple Huffy bike w/ hot pink streamers on the handle. Unfortunately, I broke my arm on Christmas Eve and had to wait to ride it. :(
