No pay!!!!!

i called my job yesterday to let them know i was coming by to pick up my check. now i was told we get paid on the 5th and the 20th. yesterday was the 6th. i was informed that no i had no check, no one has gotten paid yet, and "maybe" on friday i would have my check.....really do you think the landlord will like that?

Fuzz, I'm a landlord and if I got a statement from my tenant's place of business that due to their screw up, their paycheck was late....sure I'd be fine with that....

Of course, only one of my tenant's work, the rest our on programs....I like that fine!

Always wondered when you guys say you pick up your "check", do you actually mean you pick up a check (cheque) that you have to then take and deposit to your bank account? I've certainly never been paid like that before. Always had the money deposited into my account. Never had a problem either.......touch wood (ooer)

I think most places use direct deposit now. I haven't gotten a pay cheque (that I have to take to the bank) since I worked on the farm in Kentucky 8 years ago. I think they had direct deposit too but I didn't have a bank account so I always got a cheque. (And yes, I spell it cheque too. )
