To be fair, it's happened before where a top seed has trouble with a lower seed in the first round, squeaks by and then goes on to cruise through the rest of the playoffs. I think the first round is often the hardest one to win. (Then again, maybe I just think that because I'm a Flames fan :ninja) I agree, though, the Caps are dangerous.

haha, that is a fair description 95% of the time. There's moments where the team looks awesome. And then there are others where they look so confused..like the opposing team has 8 or 9 guys out there and they just skate around in circles like LOLICESKATING.

That was a good game.. For a while I thought the Coyotes might break it open but they could not seem to be able to do it..
Your right in that a few players are carrying the team but that often happens in playoffs.. Keep hoping they do what they do best. You may yet still win a cup..
I certainly hope so! That third period was just horrible to watch...was reminiscent of the game against the Blackhawks last week the way we got dominated. I do find it amusing all the analysts saying that we got lucky. I think Yip got lucky with that crazy bounce off the glass straight to him in front of the empty net. OMG. I thought Smitty got it for a moment, too. lol
There was a lot of luck that went both ways in that game... and a lot of skill from Smitty.
I'd put money on us playing much better tomorrow night too... which, if we played so horribly last night and still won, that means Nashville won't stand a chance, right?

One night the puck can hit the goalie post and bounce in and the next night everything stays out that hits that post..
Ice conditions plays a big part of it as well.. Players get used to bad ice while playing on good ice becomes a bonus.. Bounces of the puck become somewhat predictable for some players and others just never figure it out.. If you never played on outdoor ice, you have no idea what it's like..
So like I said, keep getting the good luck on your side and pray you make it to the final and win..
Exactly. I'll take all the good luck in the world as long as it makes us at least get to the final. I'd love to see the Coyotes play the Rangers for the cup.
5-3 tonight, and we go up 2-0 in the series. But wait... I thought we weren't good enough to beat Nashville. I thought that we were just lucky to win game 1. I thought that we couldn't beat the Blackhawks. Maybe the haters need to realize that perhaps we're a good team.

The Kings are a scary team... But we've solved Rinne already, Quick is just next on the list.
Well looks like the deal is done for the Coyotes.. The owners of the Sharks ( Jamison ) is selling his shares in San Jose and buying the Coyotes according to this NHL release..
You guys in California know if this is a good deal of bad.. What do you think ?

He only owns minimal shares in the Sharks right now. He sold off almost all of them after he turned them around and turned them into a moneymaker.
So the Rangers take the Capitals down... which sets the stage for Mike Smith and the Coyotes to potentially beat all three Vezina candidates in a row en route to the Cup.
