great job Blackhawks....if the Flyers did win, I would have been sad. but someone has to win and we have the draft coming up and hope to God the Bruins do the right thing and keep their picks.

The hawks win the cup last year then they start to " gut " their team with players that were important in the cup win. Big mistake IMO.
Then they make the playoffs by ONLY because of the efforts of other teams.
Will be very surprised if they even come close this year.
As for Montreal and Boston, it will be a great series. I have no personal favorite but I'll say Boston in 6 games.
And as the norm, Philly will be on the golf course early because once again they don't have a goalie and as I've said, as long as Bobby Clarke has anything to do with the team, they will never will win it.

To be fair, Chicago kind of had to dismantle their team because of the salary cap. There's no way they could have kept everyone.

I understand that however there were some bad choices and some contracts could have been reworked so they could be in line with the cap.
What the hawks lack imo is a GM with a vision for the future and a business sense to provide it.
Lets remember that the hawks team that won the cup was put together mostly by Dale Tallon who was fired.

In spite of what I said about the " hawks " above, I think they just might get by the " canucks " because the canuck goalie usually goes in the crapper at playoff time.

yup

they gambled on a one year run. Which normally fails. Good for them although I hate them :D

so would on rather do that or be an annual contender like the Wings? ;)

Now that the crap part of the season is over, the good part begins tonight.
It really doesn't matter too much to me who wins the cup, I know I'll see some great games.
I don't watch much during the regular season. After the strike along with the greed of both the owners and players, I much rather watch the kids play.
But during the playoffs the best hockey is played and I love the game.
Happy viewing to all the members.:clap

Man... with all of these damn power plays, we should be up by at least 2, probably 3. :( We're just absolutely choking when we have an advantage.

This is goddamn fucking bullshit... another PP goal after a bullshit call to give them the PP. Then they did the same thing to another Coyote and try and fake a hooking which doesn't get called either.

Fuck this shit.
